In a collaborative environment, this kind of data pool often makes sense, but with the drawback that someone who has provided data to the pool, loses control about who had accessed what file. This transparency of access is often required, e.g. for billing purposes or to fulfil the transparency rule of the new general data protection regulation. There are several options to solve this problem including the use of central systems or logging that involves the source of data. Usually these options introduce single points of failure. The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology offers a blockchain based method that is filed as a patent (patent pending) that avoids these single points of failure but still offers the benefits of redundant distributed file storage and still being able to audit selective the access of files.

It is a road safety system that ensures that pedestrian traffic at pedestrian crossings is carried out safely, while optimizing the opening and closing times of traffic lights, achieving an improvement in traffic flow in urban areas. For this purpose, the monitoring of waiting areas for pedestrian crossings is carried out by means of a stereoscopic vision system with infrared illumination. The images provided by the stereoscopic vision system are processed by a computer, obtaining information regarding the presence of pedestrians in the waiting areas. This information is used to act on a traffic light that controls the pedestrian crossing. The group is looking for licensing agreements, technical cooperation agreements, manufacturing agreements and commercial agreements with technical assistance with companies in the sector of transport infrastructure and traffic safety as well as public institutions, such as municipalities and councils.

The device consists of a set of cameras located in the environment of each point of interest, an infrared lighting system, an image processing module and a wireless communication system with the train. The system contributes to the increase of safety in rail transport, providing the machinists with visual information about the state of the conflicting points and notifying the presence of obstacles. The system is capable of detecting the presence of objects in daylight and nighttime conditions. The group seeks for licensing agreements, technical cooperation agreements or commercial agreements with technical assistance, with companies that work in the manufacture of safety equipment for rail transport systems.

The invention is new generation device for signals processing. The proposed assembly language is based on a formulaic recording of mathematical operations, which greatly improves the process of creating programs and their debugging. Program language maximally adapted to the processing of data arrays, tables, etc. Temporary programming costs are reduced repeatedly and commensurate with programming in C, and in some cases even less, and resulted with efficient assembly code. Developed prototype of core DSP implemented and successfully tested. Complete set for work with the processor and software: simulator, compiler, debugger system tests, library routines etc. Prepared patent applications, including patent applications for DSP core architecture and instruction set, as well as some of the functional blocks. The developed core can be a base for a number of circuits intended for different applications. The proposed architecture of the core is not the final possible product. Currently the architecture of the microcontroller and the next version of DSP core with a flexible architecture and programming language are under development.
