The invention aims to increase the throughput of current cellular communication systems. The advantages of this technology in relation to existing solutions are: 1) the throughput is enhanced and proportional to the square root of the number of transmitter/receiver pairs. 2) the interference is canceled using only outdated channel gain information and the interference removal procedure is distributed. Placing the mobile device on the vehicle's windshield, the application uses the smartphone's sensors (accelerometers, GPS, rear camera) to get a complete assessment of the driving and create a driver profile that can be checked either on real time during the trip, or reviewed in detail once the route is over. The system requires only a slight calibration. The application has a dual functionality. On the one hand, it provides real-time Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) services, improving the safety of drivers in all types of vehicles (mainly low-end), which otherwise would only be available in premium vehicles high-end. On the other hand, it generates a history of the driver behavior that may be useful to the driver himself or to insurance, logistics or other companies in order to mitigate potential risks and reduce operational costs. The invention is new generation device for signals processing. The proposed assembly language is based on a formulaic recording of mathematical operations, which greatly improves the process of creating programs and their debugging. Program language maximally adapted to the processing of data arrays, tables, etc. Temporary programming costs are reduced repeatedly and commensurate with programming in C, and in some cases even less, and resulted with efficient assembly code. Developed prototype of core DSP implemented and successfully tested. Complete set for work with the processor and software: simulator, compiler, debugger system tests, library routines etc. Prepared patent applications, including patent applications for DSP core architecture and instruction set, as well as some of the functional blocks. The developed core can be a base for a number of circuits intended for different applications. The proposed architecture of the core is not the final possible product. Currently the architecture of the microcontroller and the next version of DSP core with a flexible architecture and programming language are under development.

Wireless sensor networks present two major challenges: efficient communication and energy autonomy. Event-based sensing techniques help to optimize both by analyzing the information registered in the sensor and making it available to the network only when necessary. In the GEINTRA group, we have experience in event-based sensing techniques and their application to the field of Smart Cities.

Both methods follow the well-known outranking model and belong to the family of ELECTRE methods. The ELECTRE approach is inspired on the voting-like procedure based on the opinion of the majority but also respecting the minorities (by allowing veto power). The software available to use ELECTRE methods does not allow a hierarchical decomposition of the problem, but on a flat organization of criteria. The ELECTRE-H for hierarchical sets of criteria was defined by Dr. Del Vasto and Dr. Valls (from URV) and Dr. Slowinski and Dr. Zielniewicz (from Poznán University of Technology, Poland).
