The laboratory is looking for partners to provide educational services to their staff.
Pulsa posted this:Weight & gas pressure IoT sensor telemetry solution with machine learning predictive inventoryPulsa provides predictive inventory via purpose-built, connected hardware and an advanced machine learning backend. We are able to understand variable consumption and tell our customers when they actually need to refill or reorder inventory, instead of repeatedly checking every item. We have built our product to address a large portion of the real-time inventory market, and we are initially focused on industrial gas cylinders. We can eliminate production down time due to depleted gas cylinders and reduce the number of cylinders held in inventory. Our solution, compared to other existing in-market solutions, is significantly more affordable (10x more affordable than existing solutions) and easier to set up (out of box set-up, does not require technical experience) than existing inventory telemetry products. It also combines the real time inventory knowledge with an advanced machine learning backend that predicts when inventory needs to be replenished and notifies end users.

This boost will greatly shorten the simulation time in static Monte Carlo simulation related with Rosenbluth algorithm. With growing popularity and performance of GPU structure, this method can be applied on different platforms and operating system serve a huge benefits in simulation efficiency with the same accuracy compared with CPU calculation. The present patent break the performance bottleneck of existing molecular conformation generating methods, significantly improving the parallel performance, and has broad application prospects in the static Monte Carlo simulation of high resolution.

The system enables to perform different therapies using multiple modes of interaction (pose and gestures of the body and hands, voice, touch and gaze position) depending on the type and degree of disability. Through a training process, the system can be customized enabling the definition of patients’ own gestures for each sensor. The system is integrated with a range of applications for rehabilitation through virtual reality applications and 3D interfaces. Examples of these applications could be the realization of puzzles, mazes and writing with predictive text. The system also provides a flexible and modular framework for the development of new applications oriented to new therapies. Entities and companies interested in commercial agreement, technical assistance or technical cooperation or a combination of some of these services are sought.

The group can also work towards the improvement of the security of current CAPTCHA/HIP proposals whenever that target is attainable. Moreover, the group has a few CAPTCHA proposals that could be implemented at a grand scale level. These proposals though, need to undergo a security analysis previous to being put into production. It could be possible to share part of the IP with the companies wanting to implement these proposals if they assist the group economically in their initial implementation and security analysis. The group is seeking for individual clients and companies to achieve collaboration and commercial agreements with technical assistance.
Universidad de Alicante posted this:Control system that allows drones to flight autonomouslyResearchers from the University of Alicante have developed a control system, which allows a greater versatility in flight for UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles also colloquially called drones). With this system a vehicle can switch between different flight plans or define in real time the optimum aircraft movement depending on the environment and the information received by its sensors. Moreover, this system also includes a communication mechanism that allows a ground station to define new flight plans while the aircraft is in the air. This system is a significant advance over existing systems, as latter ones require prior planning to take off and have a reduced flexibility when the vehicles are in flight. It is applicable to all types of aircraft using the communication protocol MAVLINK.

Among these enhancements we must remark the use of several meteorological models with the regression models simultaneously and new training methods for the regression systems.
Universidad de Alcalá-OTRI posted this:Using artificial intelligence to shorten the time in the wind turbine design process.Nowadays, aerodynamic industry makes use of exclusively customary techniques over the different stages composing the design process. These techniques require some computing time (depending on the accuracy provided), which bounds the number of different designs that can be taken into account. By reducing that time through the use of new methods in artificial intelligence, it is possible increasing the amount of considered designs.
Universidad de Alcalá-OTRI posted this:Intelligent system for autonomous control in robotics cooperationOver the last decade, there has been a strong scientific and industrial concern in robotic cooperation. From problems of surveillance in industrial, commercial or domestic environments, or rescue and help in catastrophic areas, till problems of efficient package delivery in companies like Amazon or DHL, require mathematical optimization algorithms that solve these problems optimally and efficiently through the deployment of cooperative robot teams. The cooperatTive ExploRation Routing Algorithm (TERRA) is a planning system that, using artificial intelligence techniques, allows a team of robots to combine their capabilities to complete more complex tasks. For this, TERRA implements a novel robotic cooperation paradigm that offers a solution to the problems mentioned in the previous paragraph. This exploration paradigm uses a ground vehicle to reach terrestrial targets and, a drone team to reach the aerial targets. Unlike other route planners, TERRA coordinates and plans efficient routes that meet the objectives set in the shortest time with the greatest cost savings.
