Developing a machine learning model requires data samples containing both normal and abnormal events, where each sample is labeled accordingly; however,it is often the case that unlabeled data is abundant, but labeled instances are difficult, expensive, or time-consuming to obtain. We proposed a simple and intuitive bi-convex formulation and an efficient algorithm for the problem. Despite the simplicity of our methods, we achieve high accuracy with a very modest amount of input, and considerably loose (or even misspecified) constraints Project ID : 46-2020-13911

In a collaborative environment, this kind of data pool often makes sense, but with the drawback that someone who has provided data to the pool, loses control about who had accessed what file. This transparency of access is often required, e.g. for billing purposes or to fulfil the transparency rule of the new general data protection regulation. There are several options to solve this problem including the use of central systems or logging that involves the source of data. Usually these options introduce single points of failure. The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology offers a blockchain based method that is filed as a patent (patent pending) that avoids these single points of failure but still offers the benefits of redundant distributed file storage and still being able to audit selective the access of files.

Unlike this radical approach, MyAdChoices is a tool that brings transparency and real control over advertising by allowing users to make informed and equitable decision regarding ad blocking, and by enabling them to exert fine-grained control over advertising.

Our intelligent software program has an inductive and deductive automated reasoning. It can find and display implicit information that is not explicitly mentioned in the text, not contained in the synonyms of the particular word, or present in the concept the word belongs to. No statistical analysis or concordance based analysis can detect this information. Nevertheless, this implicit information is present and understood, implicitly, consciously or unconsciously, by everybody who reads the text.

The system can easily be integrated into the points of sale of the company and allows scanning, storing and transmitting receipts between devices and the cloud according to the safety standards of digital signature and payment. With this technology, it is not necessary print receipts. The management of the receipts from sales may be made ubiquitously over the Internet, both by customers and by the firms. In addition, the system allows the implementation of applications and analysis tools that improve competitiveness and create opportunities for exploitation and commercial development.

This boost will greatly shorten the simulation time in static Monte Carlo simulation related with Rosenbluth algorithm. With growing popularity and performance of GPU structure, this method can be applied on different platforms and operating system serve a huge benefits in simulation efficiency with the same accuracy compared with CPU calculation. The present patent break the performance bottleneck of existing molecular conformation generating methods, significantly improving the parallel performance, and has broad application prospects in the static Monte Carlo simulation of high resolution.

The aim of the center is to receive these challenges and solve them by creating a functional prototype that will serve the companies to eventually develop a new commercial product or to solve a new technological problem created by the growth and evolution of the society.
Universidad de Alicante posted this:Machine-to-Cloud Management System of Distributed Heterogeneous DevicesThe Specialized Processors Architecture Laboratory (SPA-Lab group) research group from University of Alicante has developed a system which improves remote control systems processes of different kind of devices geographically spread, through the Cloud. This suggested system provides independence between application layer and remote-controlled devices. Its main advantage is the homogeneity of mechanisms and functions for their interaction with the devices no matter their nature and the scope of the application. The supplied technology may be used in sectors needing monitoring and controlling a wide range of devices. The research team supplies the companies both the “know-how” for the necessary adaptation and implementation of the system and the possibility of licensing this technology.

In order for the potential of data analytics to be fully realised, analytics tools must be developed for use by the widest user-base possible. Under the CeADAR Intelligent Analytic Interfaces: Ease of Interaction theme, smart analytics tools are being developed to aid non-analytics specialist users in exploring datasets and performing analytics tasks. The first task selected for focus under this theme is customer segmentation, an especially common data analytics task and one that organisations tend to perform when they first start to use data analytics. Presenting segmentation results to the user in a way that is interpretable is the key to the success of SmartSeg. To understand customer segmentations analytics practitioners compare the distributions of features within a segment to the distributions of the same features in the underlying full population. While major existing analytics tools have enabled widespread adoption of data analytics, they remain mostly targeted at expert analytics users. At CeADAR we are developing smart analytics tools for non-analytics experts - the so called next billion users.
