If the cell is part of a thermoelectric generator, the device allows the conversion of the heat produced by incident radiation into electrical energy, due to the temperature difference established in the cell. This technology can also be used to take advantage of the residual heat of machines or electrical circuits. Industrial partners from the energy industry are being sought to collaborate through a patent license agreement. An offer for Patent Licensing

These molecules present not only interesting electronic properties which make them active for the manufacture of solar cells, specifically organic photovoltaic cells, but also an intense blue color which allows it so be used as a dye in the textile industry. Industrial partners from the energy, electronic and textile are being sought to collaborate through a patent licence agreement. An offer for Patent Licensing
Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas posted this:Use of immobilized enzymes in the synthesis of biodieselCSIC has developed a process for the enzymatic synthesis of alkyl esters of long chain fatty acids in the presence of an alcohol and an enzymatic preparation with a sterol esterase/lipase covalently immobilized on magnetic particles functionalized on its surface. The process increases the yield of the synthesis of alkyl esters, and allows recovery of the catalyst. The synthesized compounds can be used as biofuel. Industrial partners are being sought to use the technology through a patent licence agreement. An offer for Patent Licensing

The developed system is sustainable and environmentally-friendly being directly powered by a photovoltaic solar plant without using battery racks. This new system substantially decreases both the investment and maintenance costs by eliminating the batteries. Also, it can be adjusted to be used in water from very different sources like seawater, brackish water wells, wastewater treatment plants, industrial processes water, etc. being of particular interest for remote areas isolated from the electric grid. The Research Group has a demonstration Pilot Plant with the capacity to produce up to 1m3 of drinking water per day. The Group is looking for companies interested in the commercial exploitation of this technology through licensing agreements and/or technical cooperation.

Weather dependend heating of the Photovoltaic Elements will reduce their efficiency in producing Electric Energy. Cooling the Photovoltaic System (PV) down to receive Electric Power more effiently when exposed under high Global radiation. High Global Radiation (W/m²) could heat up PV e.g. to 60° C and result in a so called "Voltage drop". The Photovoltaic System combined in thermal contact with cooling elements could be used on air. Further Research on this matter is planned.

For this cooling process we use thermogenerators. Based on weather situation cooling of photovoltaic modules could result in higher electric energy.
