By means of this system it is possible to perform in situ the analysis of materials and structures without previous treatments, solving with that the need to use coupling liquids that the current ultrasonic based systems currently use. The group seeks to reach licensing agreements, collaboration agreements or commercial agreements with technical assistance, with companies from the agrofood, pharmacy, construction, ceramics, wood, cork and other materials sectors.
Cracow University of Technology posted this:Building and Architectural Acoustics LaboratoryBuilding and Architectural Acoustics Laboratory (BAAL) is a part of Building Physics Lab. Our mission is to help architects and structural designers make their buildings acoustically better. We also help building material manufacturers to develop or improve acoustical performance in their products. We offer consulting services in the field of acoustics from the design phase until final building or product testing.

The process removes the polymer matrix, recovering glass fiber which can be reused. The process is not aggressive with fiberglass. It takes place at room temperature and is able to recover all the fiberglass used. The method is industrially scalable and can be automated. Fiberglass composites and resin are widely used in the construction of boat hulls, tanks, wind turbine blades and many other applications. This method is a very important innovation for the sector and there was no effective method that allowed recovering and reusing these materials.

This mixture is applicable to interior and exterior walls in new constructions and rehabilitations or to restore the built heritage. The group seeks manufacturers of conglomerates materials and construction companies specialized in rehabilitation to reach licensing agreements, collaboration and commercial agreements with technical assistance.

The invention respects to a product with excellent energy absorption capacity to impact and sound damping for vehicle applications, houses, machinery, equipment and devices with superior performance.
UATEC - Unidade de Transferência de Tecnologia posted this:PCM Smart Window Protection SystemComparatively with the typical window shading solutions, the present innovation can store energy in different working positions, without blocking out the direct radiation or direct sunlight into the interior of the building spaces. The developed system uses phase change materials (PCMs), not only in the window protection but also for the complete shutter solution, which allows its optimization and uniqueness for solar gains. The system developed is adaptable to any type of weather conditions.
Universidad de Alicante posted this:New method for evaluating the durability of concrete by using conductive gelsThe main system innovation is the use of ion conductive gels as reservoirs of chlorides in migration assays. Until now the techniques had to start with the full saturation of the specimen and keeping it in contact with a chloride ions solution during diffusion or migration tests. This guaranteed the absence of other transport mechanisms (such as capillary absorption) and avoided surface moisture changes. This new method is simple to implement and allows the elimination of these requirements. Another innovative feature is that the system allows greater measuring accuracy of the advancing chloride front, because this advance occurs more homogeneously than in conventional tests in contact with liquid solutions.
