UATEC - Unidade de Transferência de Tecnologia posted this:Innovative water saving technology, based on recirculation of the same water when it is warming upThe present invention has the following advantages comparing to existing technologies: 1 - It is easy to mount, either in new construction or in existing, because it is a kit and does not involve works of alteration; 2 - It is modular, which allows scaling the technology to all sites or only where the highest consumption occur; 3 - It is reliable because it is based on components with many years of use in hot water systems; 4 - It is automatic, as it connects with the movement of opening a hot water tap on and automatically shuts down ; 5 - it is economic because while consuming electric power, consumption is very low and only for a few seconds; 6 - has a high cost-benefit ratio, it can generate savings that make the return on investment in short times.

Our mission is to help architects and structural designers make their buildings acoustically better. We also help building material manufacturers to develop or improve acoustical performance in their products. We offer consulting services in the field of acoustics from the design phase until final building or product testing.
University of Vigo posted this:Lateral connection system by removable clamps for I or H profilesThe presented system allows detachable lateral connections, at right angles, type ‘cross beam to column flange’ of I and H standard profiles made of steel. The system uses standard mounting clamps without previous specific machining operations (as may be welding or drilling).
University of Vigo posted this:Removable and reconfigurable system for corner connection of square tube profilesThis removable connection system can be adapted to the size of the section, by adjusting the length of the connecting bolts, using the same flanges. Is usable for a wide range of standard profiles, which avoids the need for a flange size for each profile section.
University of Vigo posted this:Removable system for continuous connection of square tube profilesThe removable system allows mounting on each profile separately, joining then in continuity with plates at the head of each of the flanges. The use of anti-buckling clamps prevents local buckling of the walls of the profiles, associated with tightening of flanges. Flanges have nerves to reduce stresses. The same flanges are valid for connecting different sized sections of square tube profiles.
Universidad de Alcalá-OTRI posted this:New organo-metallic catalysts for the manufacture of polymersA research group from the Inorganic Chemistry Department of Alcalá University has developed a technology that presents a range of catalysts based on coordination complexes and organometallic, active in functionalization processes (expoditation, hydrosilylation) and polymerization of different organic substrates (olefins and cyclic esters). They are metal complexes belonging to the first transition groups (groups 4-6) and elements from the main groups (groups 1,2 and 13). Its application is aimed at the synthesis of materials with new properties (silicon polymers, biodegradable plastics, polyesters) and the production of small molecules with high added value, used as starting products in many industrial processes (epoxides, silanes). The group is looking for manufacturing agreements and joint venture agreements with companies from the agrofood industry, construction and petrochemicals.
UNIVERSIDAD DE ALICANTE posted this:Machine-to-Cloud Management System of Distributed Heterogeneous DevicesThe Specialized Processors Architecture Laboratory (SPA-Lab group) research group from University of Alicante has developed a system which improves remote control systems processes of different kind of devices geographically spread, through the Cloud. This suggested system provides independence between application layer and remote-controlled devices. Its main advantage is the homogeneity of mechanisms and functions for their interaction with the devices no matter their nature and the scope of the application. The supplied technology may be used in sectors needing monitoring and controlling a wide range of devices. The research team supplies the companies both the “know-how” for the necessary adaptation and implementation of the system and the possibility of licensing this technology.

This method consists in separating the two signals which comprises the probe signal to obtain the difference between amplification band and attenuation stimulated band or vice versa. The group is looking for companies in the technology sector and telecommunications to reach licensing agreements, collaboration and commercial agreements with technical assistance.
UATEC - Unidade de Transferência de Tecnologia posted this:PCM Smart Window Protection SystemComparatively with the typical window shading solutions, the present innovation can store energy in different working positions, without blocking out the direct radiation or direct sunlight into the interior of the building spaces. The developed system uses phase change materials (PCMs), not only in the window protection but also for the complete shutter solution, which allows its optimization and uniqueness for solar gains. The system developed is adaptable to any type of weather conditions.
UNIVERSIDAD DE ALICANTE posted this:Home automation and smart environmentsThe Group has been working in the development of technologies that integrate the management of the entire set of electronic devices existing in a home. The group is specialized in providing home automation solutions to people with mobility problems, such as elderly people, children or disabled people. It also is experienced in the development of computer systems for energy management of housing. Innovative aspects The research group has significant experience in developing automated systems for all types of environments. The possibility to develop specific integration solutions for any type of device used in a home (lighting, security system, wireless appliances and entertainment equipment, sensor network environment, etc.). They can also integrate all kinds of control systems and power generation to facilitate saving and energy efficiency of buildings. The group is able to develop new solutions based on the requirements and user needs. Main advantages of the technology The technology developed by the research group is established in the project metalTIC - Digital Home. This project, conducted for the Federation of Employers of the Metal of the Province of Alicante (FEMPA), has been the design and development of a set that simulates a house with the latest innovations in TICC to provide services at home. The 50 square meters house has a living room with kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, showing key concepts such as energy control, monitoring and security, comfort and leisure, communications, accessibility and management.
