The developed system is sustainable and environmentally-friendly being directly powered by a photovoltaic solar plant without using battery racks. This new system substantially decreases both the investment and maintenance costs by eliminating the batteries. Also, it can be adjusted to be used in water from very different sources like seawater, brackish water wells, wastewater treatment plants, industrial processes water, etc. being of particular interest for remote areas isolated from the electric grid. The Research Group has a demonstration Pilot Plant with the capacity to produce up to 1m3 of drinking water per day. The Group is looking for companies interested in the commercial exploitation of this technology through licensing agreements and/or technical cooperation.

The online course is entitled: "Get Started in Translation and Interpreting in Public Services". The main objective of this course is to work on issues related to the communication process between foreign users who are not familiar with the Spanish language and the public or private institutions that provide services to society. The course is also focused on describing and practicing the functions of the translators and interpreters who work in these areas and showing how to get to work within this booming sector. The research groups FITISPos and FITISPos -ELearning seek to reach commercial agreements with technical assistance or technical cooperation agreements with public services and public institutions (courts, police stations, hospitals, schools, town halls, etc.) or private institutions (NGOs, associations of entrepreneurs with international interests or foreign employees, banks, tourist offices, etc.).
Universidad de Alicante posted this:Production of briquettes for energy recovery of furniture waste with polyurethane foamsThe Research Group "Waste, energy, environment and nanotechnology" (WEEN) from the University of Alicante has developed a new compact material and a production process of briquettes of furniture waste. This process makes it possible to carry out the management and the energy recovery of this waste, avoiding the environmental problems associated with its landfilling and also making it easier to transport, handle and store. The briquettes obtained, show physicochemical characteristics similar to the conventional and they have a high energy density being able to be used as fuel for thermal power plants or industrial boilers. Companies in the waste treatment sector and the furniture industry that are interested in commercial exploitation of this technology through licensing agreements and / or technical cooperation are sought.

The group is open to reach commercial agreements with companies that want to improve the working environment within their organization for better efficiency and profit maximization. Aware that conciliation is a matter of all, there is a need for men and women to share responsibility of their personal and professional duties. But of course, it is also fundamental a social consciousness aware of the relationship between conciliation and efficiency and better business performance, so that the investment in conciliation policies presume an improvement of business efficiency and loyalty of employees in the companies that follow these practices

These labels are of simple application, invisible to the naked eye and of rapid detection using low cost equipments and reagents typically used for molecular biology. Basically, the labels consist of chimerical molecules of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and the detection and read of these molecules do not depend on sequencing approaches. The information in these labels can be accessed in a similar way as it is done for most common barcoded systems.
