Center for Technology Transfer and Commercialization of Novosibirsk State University posted this:Energy efficient technology of perfect crystal growthA university laboratory (Russia) has developed a versatile method of perfect crystal growth as a technology to produce a wide range of crystals. These can be applied in detectors, customs terminals for cargo and cars examination, anti-terror systems, in a tomography of ultrahigh permission and a magneto-optics. The laboratory is looking for industrial partners to identify crystals for mass-market applications, for transfer of technology of crystal growth and sale of crystal growth equipment.

CITCEA-UPC posted this:Technology transfer in renewable energies, power electronics, energy control, electrical vehicles...CITCEA-UPC is a technology transfer center which was created in 2001 within the UPC (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, BarcelonaTech), and it is specialized in responding to electrical and electronic technological challenges. The aim of the center is to receive these challenges and solve them by creating a functional prototype that will serve the companies to eventually develop a new commercial product or to solve a new technological problem created by the growth and evolution of the society.
DIT Hothouse posted this:UPQC: A Device for Power Quality EnhancementUPQC (Universal Power Quality Conditioner) allows optimal control of a power electronics-based conditioner. Comprising both shunt and series elements (inverters), UPQC compensates for sags and swells, unbalance and distortion (harmonics)in the supply current and supply voltage respectively. UPQC delivers cost savings, increased reliability and enhanced electrical power network functionality. It also employs modular control software and novel techniques for load side short circuit protection of series inverters.
DIT Hothouse posted this:Strata Vision: Automated Scanning and Fault Detection for PPEDIT Hothouse is seeking a suitable commercial partner to take this technology to market. The establishment of a start-up software business or a licensing agreement with a clean room services company are two possible routes to market. Industry partners will have the added benefit of a highly experienced DIT project team to help deliver the final product. StrataVision has featured strongly in national (Enterprise Ireland) and international (Hong Kong PU) enterprise awards.
Universitat de València posted this:HyLED optospintronics devicesThe most innovative aspect of this innovation is that provides new optospintronic devices with low emission threshold voltages. Also, the new devices have the following advantages: Efficiency: light emission threshold voltages from 2 V. Stability: use of air-stable electrodes, with high work function. Spin valve properties (magnetoresistance): control of electrical properties by means of magnetic fields, for example light intensity and colour. Low cost: manufacture with commercial and readily available materials, using soluble deposition methods, much cheaper, and viable on a large scale, that evaporative deposition methods.
Universitat de València posted this:Light-Emitting Electrochemical Cells based on ionic dyesThe use of ionic dyes leads to materials that do not suffer from compatibility issues and allows for a much more economic production of LECs. These dyes are known for many years and used in applications such as photographic films and recordable DVD discs, and are produced in large quantities at low cost. Some examples of suitable ionic organic dyes are cyanine, hemicyanine and squarilene dyes.
Centre Technology Transfer CITTRU posted this:A novel route of the CMK-3 carbon replica synthesis, which may be a material useful in various catalytic and sorption processes as well as electrochemical applicationsThe major advantages of the proposed synthesis route are following: •minimizing of the number of synthesis steps, •elimination of toxic reagents and solvents, •simplification of the equipment required for the synthesis as well as reduction of time and energy consumption, •high reproducibility of obtained product, •a higher structural arrangement of the resultant replica in comparison to materials obtained by the methods previously reported in the literature, •higher content of surface oxygen-containing groups responsible for the high catalytic activity and sorption capacity.
