Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - UPC posted this:Novel acoustic wave device and filter for its use in high frequency applicationsAn acoustic wave device with one or more dielectric compensating layers that compensates the spurious signals by substantially temperature-independent nonlinearities occurring within the device has been developed. A direct application of this device has been the development of a novel acoustic filter. Partners to further develop the system and/or to establish commercial agreements with technical cooperation are sought.
Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - UPC posted this:Flexible device to increase bandwidth in bidirectional optical linkA new method for increasing the bandwidth in bidirectional optical links and passive optical networks has been developed and patented. This method uses a flexible simple, integrated and wavelength-agnostic semiconductor device to achieve re-modulation of the incident seed light with simultaneous phase and intensity modulation. Partners to further develop the system and/or to establish commercial agreements along with technical cooperation are sought.
Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - UPC posted this:Homodyne receiver with post-processing for optical communicationsIn high bit rate optical transmission, the use of a coherent homodyne receiver will largely increase the communication capacity and enhance the transmission performances. The proposed receiver is potentially large scale integrable, thus being useful for access network transceivers, and other applications which require low-cost and high performance receivers.

My version of EmDrive is mechanical, it does not use microwaves, thrust is huge and it can not be compared with original EmDrive from England. The principle of work is simple, device is cheap and runs on electromotor.
Universidad de Alcalá-OTRI posted this:Novel Synchronization Process for Multi-carrier or Single-carrier CommunicationsThe research group “Communications, Multirate Systems, and Biomedical Engineering” of the University of Alcala presents a novel synchronization procedure for multicarrier or single carrier systems for narrowband and broadband communications. This procedure allows a precise estimation of the symbol timing offset (STO), and a coarse estimation of carrier frequency offset (CFO). The procedure is based on the inclusion of symmetric extensions in the transmitted symbols for the synchronization, which makes it useful not only for communications systems based on the discrete Fourier transform, but also for transceivers based on the discrete cosine transform (DCT). Among its main applications are communications through single-mode optical fiber, powerline communications, wireless and wireline systems, and in general, all the techniques that use multicarrier and single carrier modulations. The group seeks companies from the telecommunications sector to sign technical cooperation agreements, commercial agreement with technical assistance and patent licensing agreements.
Universidad de Alcalá-OTRI posted this:New method of transmission and estimation of the arrival time of acoustic signals for localization systemsThe Research Group of Electronic Engineering Applied to Intelligent Spaces and Transportation (GEINTRA) of Alcalá University has developed a procedure to estimate the arrival instant of acoustic signals for localization systems based on a non-coherent and capable DFT-S-DMT * modulation to compensate the Doppler effect, for its application in acoustic localization systems. GEINTRA seeks companies from the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector to sign technical cooperation agreements, commercial agreements with technical assistance and patent licensing agreements. * Discrete multi-tone modulation, widening by discrete Fourier transform

Universidad de Alcalá-OTRI posted this:Ultrasonic localization and positioning system for extensive indoor spaces.GEINTRA is a research group from the Department of Electronics of the University of Alcala. The group has developed an ultrasonic system, with a friendly configuration, calibration and deployment, which can be intended to cover extensive indoor spaces. The system works in a GPS-like mode. It uses active beacons and is privacy-oriented, without any node limits being located at the same time. The algorithms used allow to deal with noise problems, multipath propagation and near-far effectswhat gives the system a centimeter precision. The group is looking for companies working in automation, computer or telecommunication sectors to achieve technical collaboration agreements.
Universidad de Alcalá-OTRI posted this:Acoustic propagation model and location systems for underwater environmentsGEINTRA, a research group from the Department of Electronics of the University of Alcalá, provides a model for studying the acoustic propagation in underwater environments. This model is useful for communications and positioning systems. The proposed model provides the channel response for the usual environmental phenomena. The model simulate how these phenomena affect a particular acoustic signal, and therefore, the performance of an underwater system based on acoustic signals can be evaluated previously to its deployment. The model has been tested for the case of underwater localization systems. GEINTRA is looking for companies working in telecommunications and IT sectors or performing works related to exact science and physics to achieve technical cooperation agreements.
