Brain Phantom for ultrasound navigated brain surgery trainingMotivation A very promising way to control the course of brain tumor surgery is through a combination of several imaging methods. The "underlying three-dimensional detailed maps" of the whole brain are composed in advance of magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography. During and before the operation, some parts of the brain move, and these "maps" are then slightly - but significantly - inaccurate. Therefore, just before the procedure and during the work of the neurosurgeon, real-time ultrasound control helps to show the current exact situation of tumor removal, movement of parts of the brain, etc. on previously obtained "maps" - thus serving as a surgeon's navigation. This procedure is not easy to handle and usable and meaningful options, how the surgeon can build a skill and gain experience is not for many reasons enough. There is no available and practically usable training model on the market for acquiring all the necessary skills in a way close to the real operation. Descricption of the Invention Operable brain model (phantom) contains key brain structures and includes several tumors. Compared to available solutions (expensive silicone models - useful for practicing imaging, not surgical procedures, or virtual models - good for basic orientation but rather not suitable for "manual" work training), a way to produce a relatively inexpensive disposable phantom that is truly "consumed" in an exercise which, with its texture and other physical properties, truly simulates individual parts of the brain and the imaging methods used to depict it very closely, as real parts of the brain. The system includes a method of manufacturing individual parts, a method of assembling the entire brain phantom with great precision, a method of manufacturing materials for individual brain parts, recipes for the production of materials ensuring fidelity to the original, protection during transport and longer and easier storage. Commercial Use Due to the rise of perioperative guided ultrasound technology, which is being promoted by companies like Brainlab AG and BK Medical (R), sophisticated phantoms are already in great demand for training in this technology. The presentation of this "hands-on" technology is impossible without a quality phantom. Such a phantom should be used in areas ranging from R+D, marketing, presentation at congresses, holding hands-on workshops, for direct sales to neurosurgical workplaces and individuals. There is currently no such phantom on the market. According to the World Federation of Neurosurgery, which lists the numbers of surgeons in most countries of the world, it can be estimated: ca. 15,000 potential users in the "developed world" specializing in head neurosurgery. We potentially consider more than a multiple in the future for early training at medical faculties and before attestation training. Intended for target users - physicians, manufacturers of medical equipment to demonstrate the function and organize workshops for physicians - users.Meghan Meyer posted this:

BREATHIFIC DENTAL SYNBIOTIC ORAL STRIPSThe world's first time-release, oral-adherent, non-drug, dental synbiotic oral-dissolving strip dietary supplement for management of: oral malodor, dry-mouth, Sjogren's syndrome, dental caries, periodontal problems, oral ulcers. The adherent strips ensure that the probiotics embedded in the strips can remain in the mouth longer than 2.5 hours. Traditional chewable tablets and fast-melts are swallowed too soon and do not allow time for probiotics to activate, grow, colonize and populate. Dental probiotics must remain in the desired area at least 2.5 hours to be maximally effective. The strips are also safe for pets.

Broadband optoelectronic synapse for low-power neuromorphic machine visionBackground Conventional computing is based on von Neumann architecture where processor and memory regions are separated and bridged by data buses. This makes image processing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) very lengthy and power intensive. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) that are widely used in AI, ML and computer vision tasks (including image classification, object detection, semantic segmentation, video analysis and medical imaging) require dot-product calculation during the convolution process which is very energy and resource-intensive. Therefore, it is anticipated that performance of von Neumann computing architectures will soon reach their physical limits given excessive need for processing data in machine vision applications such as image sensing, feature extraction and neuromorphic computing. While various types of Memristor arrays have been developed to implement low energy convolution operations, they suffer from issues including sneaky currents (which adds to fabrication costs to avoid it), low accuracy due to non-linearity of I-V curve and a big footprint for realizing convolutional operations.Joaquin Reina Herdz posted this:

With this kind of equipment, the clogging of downstream equipment can be avoided, and the bad instrumentation working and control system. The foam and sediments removal of the biogas is accomplished by two different techniques. First changing the hydrodynamic condition of the biogas stream. Secondly, the gas is subjected to continuous exposure to cold water spray that at the same time allow the biogas cooling.

This provides beverage suppliers a competitive edge with environmentally conscious consumers. Carbonator also avoids the financial risk of CO2 supply shortages (like those seen in 2022).
