Furthermore, old buildings frequently suffer from damp and condensation problems. FRIDS is an indoor insulation system that guarantees heat insulation and moist removal sustainable solution for ground-contact wall fragments, fire walls, reveals, etc. and offers a permanent solution to this problems.

Excitation with infrared radiation of these luminescent particles produces light emission in different regions of the visible light collected by a sensor to obtain an intensity ratio.

On the other hand, the automatic creation of thermal efficiency digital maps has not been proposed up to now. These maps will be very useful for local authorities to improve the energy efficiency of their local communities.

The invention DARWIN-PCM consists of a dynamic thermal system to be used in buildings to minimize their energy consumption for space heating and cooling. The invention can be implemented in any sort of building envelope including walls, floors, roofs, fenestrations, and doors. It is composed of several layers of materials, one of them is mobile and contains a material with capacity to absorb and release high amount of heat - such as phase- change materials (PCM).
