Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas posted this:Fabrication of tips for scanning probe microscopy with enhanced resolutionCSIC has developed tips for scanning probe microscopy (SPM) where an isolated nanoparticle is placed at the apex of the tip. The method allows to tailor the shape, size and composition of the nanoparticle improving the measuring capabilities of the tips. These novel tips are suitable for techniques that combine imaging, such as SPM and spectroscopy like tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (TERS). Industrial partners manufacturers of laboratory equipment are being sought to collaborate through a patent license agreement. An offer for Patent Licensing

Center for Technology Transfer and Commercialization of Novosibirsk State University posted this:Plasma sensors for ultra-small concentrations of chemicalsPlasmon sensors of ultra-small concentrations of chemical substances have been developed in the laboratory of the University (Russia). The sensors are used in medicine, pharmaceuticals, safety systems and R&D to improve the sensitivity of IR spectroscopy devices. The detector installed in the system enables to increase 100-10000 detectability for a wide range of organic and inorganic substances. The authors are looking for partners for commercial agreements and technological cooperation.

Thermal Microsensor with Improved Temporal and Spatial ResolutionThe prototype developed within ERC-PoC "ANTS" project, has demonstrated its sensitivity for a new concept of microcalorimeters, as well as providing advantages in microfluidics. We aim to: a) Integrate this technology within microfluidic devices or applications where size and fast response time are crucial. b) Develop a High-Throughput Calorimetry going beyond the current capabilities on ITC. > Sensing element. Ferromagnetic permalloy line 4x28 µm x 20 nm thick: affordable, miniaturization… Sensor was fabricated in a single deposition. > Temporal response. Milliseconds, to stimulus >10 microwatts; further improvements are in progress. > Easy adoption. Compatible with standard configuration of microcalorimeters. > IPR: EP, US, CN, KR, JP
Universidad de Alicante posted this:Multicapillary nebulizer for simultaneous nebulization of two or more liquids A Spanish university research group has developed a new pneumatic multicapillary nebulizer which allows the simultaneous nebulization of two or more liquids, miscible or immiscible between them. This device offers the possibility of simplifying the analysis process, reducing the consumption of resources and a high mixing efficiency is achieved. A laboratory-constructed prototype is available for any demonstration. The research group is looking for companies interested in license agreement.

The group has developed a system which gives the opportunity to control and supervise the environments conditions for pharmaceutical products manufacture. GEINTRA is looking for companies working in Agrofood and Pharmaceutical sectors to achieve commercial agreements with technical assistance.
Universidad de Cádiz posted this:An improved fast and high throughput method for the sequential measurement of nitrate and nitrite in water samplesWe have developed an improved fast and sequential protocol that permits the determination of low concentrations of nitrite and nitrate in aquatic samples using small volumes. It is ideal to analyse large sets of samples with different characteristics, since it is enough a small amount of water the volume and cost of reagents and consumables are reduced.

By merging these properties in one platform, these nanobeads provide a faster and less expensive method for the separation and enrichment of specific proteins, often present in biological media in very low concentrations, compared to conventional methods such as metal-ion affinity chromatography.

The less expensive electrochemical techniques are based on somewhat complex circuitry and require the use of ultra-fast current cut-off systems at the nanosecond scale. This electrochemical sharpening method constitutes allows to produce microelectrodes in less than 1 minute in a reproducible, simple and inexpensive manner in therms of required equipment, device assembly and technical execution.
