Emotongue is not a simple app, it is the app that everybody was looking for! It had been designed for a research project carried out in the Department of Sciences of Education of the University of Alcalá, Spain, but due to its features and the great benefits it has, now it is available for every customer interested in improving his/her resources for managing his/her emotional world. Emotongue has been created for helping people to know their emotions, connect with them and learn how to manage them. The app is a tool easy to use, with a colored and dynamic design. It sends the user 5 notifications per day, and she/he has at his/her disposal 2 hours to answer each notification either by a written message or by an audio. The app is available in every country in which people speak English and/or Spanish. An improved version of the app could send users a feedback about their evolution in their management of their emotions and their use of the app. A part from the app, the authors could offer a service to companies interested in it, by creating courses about emotional management, designed according to the company’s needs, something very difficult to find in the trade market.
Institut Català d'Investigació Química (ICIQ) posted this:Photochemical metal-free method of amination of C-H bondsA new method for the metal-free amination of C-H bonds has been developed. The method uses readily available reagents (iodine, trilfuoromethylsuylfonamide, diacetoxyiodobenzene) and light to insert a sulfonamide moiety into a C-H bond. the method has been successfully used in the preparation of various APIs (memantine, rasagiline, sertraline). The method takes place in mild conditions and allows avoiding the use of transition metal catalysis and multiple-steps procedures. Partners are sought for the joint development of commercial applications of the method.
Institut Català d'Investigació Química (ICIQ) posted this:Photoinitiators for visible-light induced living polymerizationA new class of photoinitiators of living polymerization induced by visible light has been developed and is made available for testing (under MTA) and/or licensing. The developed initiators trigger the curing of resins by irradiation with low-intensity visible light, while providing polymers with good control of chain length. In addition, through decomposition of the initator, the cured material presents a different colour than the uncured resin.
Centre Technology Transfer CITTRU posted this:Education system for 3D drawing chemical structuresThe developed system enables to draw any type of organic molecules. Construction modules have puzzle-like connectors and can be freely combined. Each element has a basically flat base and at least one substantially vertical post protruding from the base, having a contact point. The user connect the posts with 3D pen line what gives 3D chemical structure model with appropriate angles and distances between atoms.

The system can count the exact number of people accessing a particular enclosure (building, shopping malls, nightclubs, etc.) which allows to take appropriate actions based on the number of people who are inside the controlled room (it informs to the authorities of the number of people, it can be used for the ventilation activation adapted to the needs, restricted access, etc.). GEINTRA is looking for companies working in technological or telecommunications sectors to achieve cooperation or license agreements.

Universidad de Alicante posted this:Environmentally friendly holographic recording materialOur research group has developed a new photopolymer which may be used as a holographic recording material. It is easy to prepare in layers of the desired thickness and has a lower potential toxicity than conventional materials. It is characterized by being environmentally friendly, since it does not contain any petroleum-derived solvents or other components classified as toxic, biotoxic, explosive, radioactive, oxidising, corrosive, inflammable or environmentally hazardous, and no such substances are used to prepare it. The only solvent used is water, thus minimizing any risk of contamination and, at the end of its useful life, it is easy to recycle in aqueous phase. It is possible to automatize all the stages of its preparation, and it enables holograms to be obtained in a single stage without the need for subsequent processing. We are looking for companies interested in acquiring this technology for its commercial exploitation. Innovative aspects: • Due to its characteristics and the fact that during the preparation process, its useful life and subsequent elimination, water is the only solvent used, the negative impact of this material on the environment is minimized. • It does not contain any components classified as toxic, biotoxic, explosive, radioactive, oxidising, corrosive, inflammable or hazardous for the environment. • Although the fabrication process is totally safe for workers, it is possible to automatize all the stages, thereby reducing the production costs. • Layers of different thicknesses may be easily obtained and they may be used at different wavelengths.
