he poultry industry seeks a humane, high-speed alternative to manual sexing for commercial layers. Current automated solutions are either too slow, too expensive (DNA/PCR), or biologically intrusive.
We have designed a "Flash-Thermography" architecture that integrates seamlessly into existing conveyor lines. By exploiting natural differential thermal conductivity properties between male and female chicks, the system achieves real-time classification without physically touching the animals.
Key Technical Metrics:
Throughput: Designed for >60,000 chicks/hour (matches standard industrial speeds).
Latency: Real-time processing (<16ms per bird) utilizing 60Hz radiometric sensors.
Accuracy: Theoretical accuracy >98% based on signal-to-noise ratio calculations (Delta T > 10°C).
Hardware: Relies on standard COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) thermal vision components. No proprietary hardware development required.
