Universitat de Girona posted this:3D Additive manufacturing machine for tubular medical devicesThe 3D Additive Manufacturing Machine developed for tubular medical devices is based on the Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) and the 3-axis 3D printing technologies. The filament is melted into the extruder nozzle, which deposited the material onto a heated computer-controlled platform.
Laser Consult Ltd. posted this:Pressurized foam fire protection system for large diameter atmospheric storageOne of our partners developed a technology that provides uncompromised safety against full surface fires for large diameter atmospheric storage tanks - even if personnel, water supply, and electrical resources are vague and terrain, room, and climate are unfavorable - without polluting the environment or endangering lives The current ruling procedure is that only rim seal fires have to be taken out. In the case of a large full surface tank fire, the ruling tactic in most cases is to use whatever resources there are to contain the crisis and let the tank burn out. However in this way, the business disruption and environmental exposure is unacceptably huge. If other tanks are nearby, there is little chance of isolating a single tank if supplies are limited, and the whole terminal could be endangered.

Center for Technology Transfer and Commercialization of Novosibirsk State University posted this:Technology and equipment for production of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene for medical, structural and energy applicationsThe innovative company (Russia) that cooperates with the university and R&D institutes has developed an UHMWPE production technology (ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene) for production of high-strength materials and threads to manufacture implants, porous filters, ropes, armor and materials for aircrafts and ships. The technology is easy to use, products are inexpensive. The company is looking for partners to find market applications for powder and fibers and to license industrial technology.
Center for Technology Transfer and Commercialization of Novosibirsk State University posted this:Electrode materials on the basis of carbon nanostructures, electrically conductive polimers and transition metal oxides for supercapacitorsRussian Laboratory of Academic Novosibirsk University, specializing in the area of electrode materials research, developed a technology of hybrid nanostructures, having high electrical capacity, for supercapacitors creation. Usage of this technology allows to increase the capacity of capacitors up to 400 F/g (calculated using electrode material). Authors are looking for partners for joint research projects and creation of a production prototype.
Center for Technology Transfer and Commercialization of Novosibirsk State University posted this:Improved materials for organic electronics applicationsAt the University and Research Institute (Russia) power-saving and resource-saving methods of receiving and purification new organic semiconductor materials are developed. These materials can be used as active environments of devices of organic electronics – light-emitting diodes, transistors and the light-transistors with the improved performance characteristics. Developers look for partners for joint research projects, creation of industrial samples and search of technical applications.
Center for Technology Transfer and Commercialization of Novosibirsk State University posted this:Preparation of Microscope Slides for medical, biological and veterinary purposesIn a laboratory of Virology and Morphology of an Academic University (Novosibirsk, Russia) the technology of production of high-quality microscope slides for histologic researches was developed. The technology can be applied in educational purposes as well as in different research programs in Pharmacology, Medicine, Biology, etc. The authors are looking for potential partners in order to hand over the technology and/or establish joint production and market implementation of biological exemplars.

UNIVERSIDAD DE BURGOS posted this:Direct “in situ” determination of ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) using a device formed by three disposable screen-printed electrodesNew device for direct “in situ” detection of ascorbic acid in different types of liquid samples, for example biological samples or food products. The equipment consists of an electrode system formed by three disposable electrodes, obtained by silkscreen printing.
UNIVERSIDAD DE BURGOS posted this:Manufacturing process optimization method for metallic components in the industry. The vast majority of metal products in the industrial level are obtained from sheet metal forming, which are used in a diversity of applications, from car bodies, appliances and planes, together with beverage packaging. In order to define the final design and structure of a stamped component there are two fundamental steps: the manufacturing process to perform the part and the structural simulation to overcome the requirements for performance specifications. The University of Burgos has patented procedure for the design and manufacturing of cold stamped metal part components that establishes an interconnection between the process simulation and the structural simulation during the development of the stamped components, so the mechanical properties of the material are modified in function of the predefined level got in each zone of the component.
