Quantum Random Number Generator QRNG

Summary of the technology

The invention is a Quantum random number generator (QRNG) device integrated in a photonic integrated circuit. This QRNG is a physical random device based on quantum sampling systems with macroscopically observable parameters that randomly vary dynamically, such as the phase or intensity of a laser or an optical amplifier, and are the future of cybersecurity.

More specifically, it is a QRNG device integrated into a photonic integrated circuit or PIC (chip), manufactured using lnP technology. The generation of quantum numbers is based on the combination of phase noise produced in a laser cavity and interferometry.
