This technology is a chemically deterministic CO₂-to-CO conversion platform designed to address reliability and verification challenges in carbon utilization.
By explicitly engineering energetic alignment and reaction pathways, the system enforces a single, stable CO production route with stoichiometric measurability.
Unlike estimation-based or nature-based carbon reduction approaches, the platform generates auditable, MRV-ready carbon outputs.
It enables reliable long-term operation and supports revenue-generating carbon-to-asset strategies under emerging global regulations.
As carbon management shifts from voluntary CSR to a regulated financial risk domain driven by CBAM, ISSB/SEC disclosures, and expanding carbon taxes, the primary limitation of existing carbon reduction approaches lies in unreliable measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV). Indirect estimation-based methods face regulatory uncertainty, audit inconsistency, and limited asset credibility.
This technology introduces a deterministic CO₂-to-CO conversion platform in which electron transfer energetics and reaction pathways are explicitly engineered. Tunable TiO₂ band alignment enables controlled and repeatable electron injection, while site-isolated molecular catalysts enforce a single, stable CO₂-to-CO reaction pathway. As a result, carbon conversion follows a closed, stoichiometric chemical cycle, ensuring that carbon outputs are measured, not estimated.
Experimental results demonstrate stable CO production over time and tunable CO productivity through controlled irradiation conditions and catalyst surface loading. Product selectivity can be programmably shifted from formate to CO within a single platform, enabling flexible carbon output strategies. This deterministic behavior supports MRV-linked validation and long-term operational reliability.
The platform enables three strategic commercialization pathways: (i) IP licensing of deterministic CO₂-to-CO conversion technology, (ii) collaborative development of MRV-linked carbon asset generation systems, and (iii) expansion into high-value CO utilization for chemicals, fuels, and synthetic gas applications. It transforms carbon conversion from a cost-driven mitigation activity into a revenue-generating, asset-grade carbon utilization business.
