Seer Labs has developed a patent-pending passive wireless power transfer coil architecture designed to improve performance under lateral misalignment while reducing modeled electrical losses.
The frozen design has undergone hardware-scale electromagnetic virtual validation at 87 kHz and retained its modeled advantage across 24 previously unseen lateral-misalignment and air-gap conditions.
The technology is available for independent industrial evaluation, adaptation to partner-specific operating requirements, non-exclusive licensing and potential joint commercialization.
Wireless power transfer systems can experience significant degradation when transmitter and receiver coils are laterally misaligned or when the operating air gap changes. Seer Labs has developed a new passive coil architecture intended to improve robustness to these conditions while maintaining favorable electrical-loss characteristics.
A frozen hardware-scale embodiment has been evaluated using FastHenry 3.0wr / PEEC electromagnetic modeling at 87 kHz. The evaluation included 24 previously unseen combinations of lateral misalignment and air gap.
Across all 24 nominal evaluation conditions, the proposed architecture retained a modeled link-efficiency advantage relative to the selected prior-art-class reference design. The worst observed modeled link-efficiency ratio was approximately 1.12 and the median ratio approximately 1.16. The evaluation also indicated lower modeled electrical loss per delivered watt.
The current evidence is virtual rather than measured hardware evidence. Seer Labs is therefore specifically seeking wireless-power manufacturers, technology developers and industrial R&D partners capable of performing an independent A/B build and physical evaluation using their own materials, manufacturing processes and test equipment.
For a qualified evaluation partner, the architecture can also be adapted to a specific operating envelope, including coil footprint, air gap, expected lateral displacement and other relevant engineering constraints.
Potential application areas include industrial wireless charging, autonomous mobile robots and AGVs, robotics, warehouse and logistics systems, mobility applications and other wireless-power systems where tolerance to positioning variation is important.
Seer Labs is open to non-exclusive licensing, technology evaluation partnerships and joint commercialization.
Seer Labs is an independent R&D company developing compact, physics-informed technologies and licensable intellectual property for difficult physical systems.
The company focuses on identifying high-value physical mechanisms, converting them into practical engineering architectures and subjecting resulting designs to independent and reproducible validation.
Current areas of work include wireless power transfer, electromagnetic systems, energy technologies and industrial physical systems.
Seer Labs works through technology licensing, independent validation partnerships and joint commercialization with established industrial companies.
