Summary of the technology

This technology is an EEG-driven neuromodulation platform that addresses clinical variability in transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) by aligning stimulation parameters to individual brain states.
Using CNN-based analysis of EEG signals, it identifies functional motor hotspots and derives personalized stimulation intensity, timing, and frequency.
The state-aligned approach improves targeting precision, stability, and reproducibility compared to fixed electrode protocols.
The platform enables scalable personalized neuromodulation across clinical, therapeutic, and wellness applications.

Details of the Technology Offer

Transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) is a promising non-invasive neuromodulation technique, but its clinical adoption has been limited by large inter-individual variability and inconsistent outcomes. Conventional protocols rely on standardized EEG electrode locations (e.g., C3/C4), which often fail to align with individual functional motor hotspots, leading to mistargeted stimulation rather than insufficient efficacy.
This platform introduces a state-aligned neuromodulation framework that integrates EEG-based convolutional neural networks to identify subject-specific functional motor hotspots with millimeter-level localization reliability across different EEG configurations. Time–frequency and connectivity features extracted from EEG signals are translated into individualized stimulation parameters, including intensity, frequency, timing, and session structure.
Experimental results demonstrate improved skill indices, stable modulation of EEG power and connectivity, and enhanced reproducibility across IF-tES, gamma-tES, and tACS paradigms compared to sham and fixed-protocol stimulation. By aligning stimulation to network-level brain states, the platform enables consistent and scalable personalized neuromodulation.
Commercial opportunities include IP licensing, collaborative R&D with neuromodulation device manufacturers, digital therapeutics companies, and data-driven healthcare platforms, as well as potential joint ventures for platform-based neuromodulation services and regulatory-grade clinical evidence generation.
