Our Hybrid Bioelectrochemical Solar Reactor integrates a portfolio of 11 unique innovations designed to overcome key challenges in clean energy generation and wastewater treatment. The first two solutions—HBPS Bioelectrode and RCCB Current Collection System—deliver significant advances in conductivity, cost reduction, and scalability. These patented technologies create new opportunities for licensing, R&D collaborations, and industrial pilots in the field of sustainable energy.
Problem:
Bioelectrochemical systems face critical barriers such as low electrode conductivity, high material costs, and inefficient current distribution, which limit scalability and long-term stability.
Solution:
We have developed two patented innovations:
HBPSBioelectrode – a hybrid porous polymeric substrate that significantly improves electron transfer while reducing costs.
RCCBCurrent Collection System – a modular and integrated design for efficient current harvesting and distribution.
These represent Solutions #1 and #2 from our 11-innovation portfolio for Hybrid Bioelectrochemical Solar Reactors.
Advantage:
Together, these solutions enable up to 4xhigher conductivity and minimize IR-drop. The porous structure of the HBPS electrode provides a much larger effective surface area than any existing patent or successful laboratory prototype, boosting bioelectrochemical interactions. As a result, our hybrid reactor can deliver 30–40% higher efficiency and more than 2x operational stability compared to conventional BES designs, paving the way for scalable clean energy generation and wastewater treatment.
