New features enabling connectivity and automation are increasingly facilitating the overall experience of personal mobility. Vehicles are today safer than ever before. European countries and the industry are committed to creating a transportation ecosystem with zero casualties by 2050. Many of the technologies underpinning this goal are in production, while ever-more sophisticated and effective safety systems are being developed. Smart mobility is also advancing comfort and productivity for the driver and passengers, as well as making the interaction with the vehicle’s surroundings smoother and more enjoyable. The field of ‘Digital’ recognises the achievements of smart solutions in the overall mobility ecosystem.
