Details of the Innovation Need

I. Background:

1. Application scenario

The bacteria in the refrigerator are mainly brought in by stored foods. The most common bacteria are Salmonella, Shigella, Listeria, Yersinia, and others. Listeria and Yersinia are also called psychrophilic bacteria. They prefer a low-temperature environment. The temperature of the freezer is just right for them to grow. It will not be killed during storage in the freezer, on the contrary there will be an increase in reproduction.

2. What is the expected result of the targeted plan?

It is hoped that the shelf life of meat in the freezer compartment of the refrigerator can be prolonged by using some kind of sterilization technology, and the potential safety hazards caused by the growth of food due to bacteria can be reduced.

II. Parameters:

1. Bactericidal effect: rapid removal of bacteria from the refrigerator freezer (mainly Listeria) with removal rate of more than 99% and sterilization test certification report;

2. Working temperature: -18~-30°C;

3. Lifespan: more than 5 years; 8-10 years is appropriate;

4. Experience: sterilization module (the best user can intuitively sense);

5. Cost: less than 15 yuan (negotiated if program is better);

6. Can not affect the temperature of the freezer and destroy the quality of meat.

Possible solution areas

  • hytosanitary preservatives;
  • Low-cost electric pulse sterilization technology;
  • Other low temperature (-18 °C) sterilization technology.

Discarted solutions

  • Ozone & Plasma;
  • UV & photo catalysis;
  • Silver ions.
