Adjustable Reusable Liquid Dosing Device for Bottles

The SmartDoser technology is a reusable bottle-mounted liquid dosing device that combines the functions of a closure and an adjustable measuring mechanism.

The device contains a measuring chamber and an adjustable graduated piston. The required dose is preset by changing the effective volume of the measuring chamber. Lever-operated movement allows the chamber to be filled from the bottle and then dispenses the measured portion through the outlet.

The design includes sealing and flow-control features intended to reduce unwanted leakage and dripping and to keep liquid away from the graduated piston during use.

The technology can be used as a stand-alone dispenser replacing a conventional bottle cap or adapted to a partner's bottle neck, packaging design and product requirements.

Potential applications include edible oils, vinegar, sauces, syrups and other liquid food products; liquid detergents, cleaners and concentrates; spirits and cocktail applications; and other suitable liquids subject to material compatibility and regulatory requirements.

Working physical samples are available. Injection-moulding and tooling know-how has already been developed. The inventor is seeking industrial partners for licensing, adaptation to specific bottle formats, manufacturing and commercialization.
