I am a retired scientist of aerospace industry in southern California United States. I have invented a Spherical Rotary Turbo Engine/Pump. The engine in its basic concept and design, is a pump with high degree of displacement volume compared to the volume of the pump itself. I am sending this to you for the purpose of eventual licensing and manufacturing, essentially to find a partner.
The innovation described herein addresses the failures of the “Wankel” rotary engine. The elliptical shaped housing incorporated into this engine was once hailed as a revolutionary new design that would result in greater power and fuel economy. While this novel engine offered great promise in-concept, in practice it was inherently flawed.
The problem with its design was related to the fractional nature of the Pi (3.14….) in calculating the circumference of two gears interfacing with each other: fractional circumference-values on two gears, and a nonfractional number of groves on the two gears was the root of the problem. Two set of gears, with un-precise tolerances caused banging, and wear-and-tear on the tips of the triangular rotor and the edges of the elliptical housing.
The new Spherical Rotary Turbo Engine(Patent number: 9464566), with rotating central shaft and only two moving parts under the load,represents a paradigm-shifting approach that may drastically improve the efficiency of the combustion engine, resulting in fuel savings for consumers and emissions reductions benefiting society.
