Pigment industry is very old fashioned and mainly using manual processings. Manual processing causes a lot of fluctuations in quality which requires more manual processes for QC and blending. Running the porcess fully controlled by Process Controll systems will allow, beside reduction of costs, improvements in throughput and quality consistency. Automation should be more than only measurement of volumes or temperatures.

Process parametrization concept and rough design of measurement equipment used for running process fully controlled by PCS.
Rough design on material and information flow, used for manufacturing pigments under full control of PCS.
Definition on required properties for raw material consistency regarding physical properties (particle size, melting point or ather relevant parameters).
