Seeking innovative material and manufacturing technologies to enable cost-efficient lightweighting in high-volume automotive applications

  • ALLIANCE project
  • From Spain
  • Responsive
  • Project Size Range : > 2,000,000 €
  • Deadline completed
The submission process for new proposals is closed. Proposals submitted before the deadline will follow the standard evaluation process.

Desired outcome

The ALLIANCE partners are giving the opportunity to large and small companies, research centres, universities, and even individuals with innovative lightweighting technologies, to submit their ideas, co-develop them with the OEMs, suppliers, and knowledge partners of ALLIANCE, and shape the vehicles of tomorrow.

Do you have a specific idea or concept (material or manufacturing) on how to achieve lightweighting in vehicles? Does your technology show potential to reduce the GWP impact in a life-cycle perspective? Is it affordable? Can it be implemented in high-volume vehicle production?

Win the opportunity to co-develop your innovations with six leading automotive OEMs (Daimler, Opel, Toyota, Volvo, Volkswagen, CRF - the Research Centre of FCA) and four suppliers (ThyssenKrupp, Novelis, Batz, Benteler). The winning technologies will be implemented on existing vehicle parts and presented at a dedicated side event of the Aachen Body Engineering Days 2018!

The ALLIANCE project is co-funded by the European Commission’s H2020 programme.
