Through this grant call, JTC aims to develop solutions that can mitigate urban challenges and cultivate
green practices. Possible solutions and outcomes - Information Systems that allow monitoring of energy
consumption for data analysis on energy savings.
Details of the Technology Call
Funding
A total grant of up to S$5,000,000 is available.
Applicants may receive funding up to 100% of the eligible qualifying costs, subject to evaluation and
qualification by JTC, and capped at SGD 500,000 per proposal. All final test-bedding phases must be
conducted in Singapore. For international applicants without any presence in Singapore, please indicate
your anticipated expenses in Singapore Dolars to conduct the final test-bed phase locally as part of the
funding request in their proposal.
Details of the Grant Call
Proposal submitted shall involve two (2) development phases:
• Phase 1 is the applied Research and Development (R&D) phase, involving laboratory-scale testing
on the feasibility of technologies;
• Phase 2 is the test-bedding phase of the technologies and solutions at JTC’s sites, for
demonstration and verification of these technologies/systems that are new to Singapore and require
proof of feasibility in Singapore’s tropical climate.
Eligibility
We welcome all enterprises and research institutions, both Singaporean and international enterprises and
companies. Start-ups and incubators registered with local authorities in their respective countries are
welcome to participate.
Research institutions shall declare if the proposal has received funding from other sources.

31 Mar 2016, 16:00 hours Singapore Time (GMT +8)
Timeline
The entire project duration (Phase 1 + Phase 2) shall be completed within 24 months.
• Phase 1: R&D to be completed within a maximum of 12 months.
• Phase 2: Test-bedding to be completed within a maximum of 12 months, including the installation,
demonstration and verification of the technologies / systems.
Set up in 1968, JTC is the lead government agency responsible for the development of industrial infrastructure to support and catalyse the growth of industries and enterprises in Singapore. Landmark projects by JTC include the Jurong Industrial Estate; the Jurong Island for energy and chemical industries; business and specialised parks such as Airport Logistics Park of Singapore, International Business Park, Changi Business Park, Seletar Aerospace Park, CleanTech Park and Tuas Biomedical Park; a new work-live- play-&-learn development called one-north; and the Jurong Rock Caverns, Southeast Asia’s first commercial underground storage facility for liquid hydrocarbons. JTC also develops innovative space such as JTC Surface Engineering Hub @ Tanjong Kling, JTC MedTech Hub @ MedTech Park and JTC Food Hub @ Senoko, which incorporate innovative features and shared infrastructure to enable industrialists to start their operations quickly and enhance productivity.
