Join us in Cambridge for the Future of Open Innovation Practices Day, on February 13th 2019.

This full day of interactive workshops and talks will showcase tangible mechanisms for facilitating stakeholder interaction to ensure science’s impact on society and the markets.

Expect valuable insights from both Academia and Industry, with keynote speeches from Dr John C Taylor, Professor of Innovation at the University of Cambridge and Head of the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM), Dr. Tim Minshall, and RICARDO's Chief Technology and Innovation Officer, Neville Jackson.

The event is the culmination of EC funded project Science2Society, researching the future of interaction between universities, industries and broader society as a whole. Science2Society is one of very few projects that explore the future of innovation ecosystem interaction mechanisms, particularly borrowing best practices from Internet 2.0 and 3.0 platforms and communities.

The consortium is excited to share their key findings and recommendations with attendees, to support the ongoing innovation learning process.

Join the upcoming ISPIM Connects Ottawa: Innovation for Local and Global Impact held by ISPIM in Ottawa, Canada.

ISPIM is running a challenge-based innovation conference we are running in Ottawa in April.

Why challenge-based?
Well, we feel that this way we can better engage people whilst also delivering a conference that will provide the host city with greater impact. Working closely with our local partners in Ottawa, we have selected three critical challenges that are also of global importance: - Scaling Startups - Adopting AI and Analytics - Innovating with Government

We will be discussing what role innovation can play in solving these challenges and have a series of keynote presentations, discussion panels, workshops and site visits all aimed to address these challenges as well as other innovation management hot-topics.

The conference also includes some great networking social events. Headline speakers include Sir Terry Matthews (Wesley Clover International), Roseann O’Reilly Runte (Canada Foundation for Innovation) and John Shannon (National Research Council Canada)

Why attend?
For Academia - get exposed to a much broader range of practices and attitudes - experience a unique combination of academic rigour and practical relevance - meet colleagues from academia and reflect with and learn from great practice leaders from industry - open up new opportunities for research collaborations for Industry - keep up to date with the latest trends in innovation management - make connections, share your failures, get inspiration to innovate - bring ideas back that you can use in practice - discover an exceptional range of knowledge, experience, competences and opportunities to jointly drive innovation management

For Public Sector - get access to innovation management practitioners and academics - work on real challenges that will have an impact after the conference - keep informed of major developments in the field of innovation management - uncover opportunities for mutual learning

We would like to invite you to the Design Thinking for Business Innovation Summit on September 28th and 29th 2017, in Barcelona, Spain.

This premier B2B event will enable participants to learn about the latest developments in Design Thinking and how to apply them organisationally and commercially in order to gain a significant advantage among direct competitors.

When competing in efficiency it is no longer enough to simply be a champion of maintaining the status quo. Innovating business models, enhancing product and service development schemes, and creating customer centric experiences are becoming paramount to succeed in today’s fast changing world.

To become a champion of innovation whilst still focusing on efficiency, a new process is needed – Design Thinking. Design Thinking is the process that brings innovation to life where the customer is at the heart of every business decision.

This Summit hinges upon the new ways to leverage Design Thinking into your organisation to become a champion of innovation. Vonlanthen Group of Companies invites you to discuss and debate this new disruptive era and to meet these challenges in a dialogue amongst top professionals in this cross-industry Summit.

We look forward to welcoming you in Barcelona, this coming September!

Since 1996, The International Triple Helix Conference has grown into a major venue of discussion, research, and policy development for the roles of tripartite innovation agents. The 2017 conference will be held in Daegu, South Korea, 14-16, September, 2017 under the theme “4th industrial Revolution, Design Thinking and Triple Helix”. This year, the conference touches on the so-called Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) driving most up-to-date innovation at the techno-human interfaces, examining the Triple Helix institutions are adapting themselves to these new challenges. These 4IR technologies and various changes induced by them are increasingly casting doubt on the adaptive capacity of individuals and institutions with the threats to human identity, social stability, and economic security. When machines replace not only repetitive labor but advanced intellectual work, what is left for humans? How can existing institutions of the Triple Helix tackle techno-human challenges?
