Event description

9 - 10 December, 2013. The Spanish Bioindustry Association (ASEBIO), in cooperation with Invest in Bogota, the investment promotion agency for the Colombian capital, the two organisations driving BIOLATAM, is currently negotiating the attendance of delegations from 22 Latin American countries, several European countries, and the US, at this event (www.biolatam.org) the biggest in global biotechonology with interests in Latin America, which will take place in Bogota on the 9th and 10th of December of this year.

BIOLATAM is a global partnering forum focused on Latin America, it is open to businesses, researchers and risk capital institutions. The partnering section will be managed using PartneringOne from EBD Group -a frequent service provider for Biospain and other prestigious fairs- and will include a conference programme on bioeconomy and biofuels, advanced therapies, food biotechnology, personalised medicine, health products and venture capital, among others.

For this first edition of BIOLATAM, we expect to exceed 500 attendees, with a high participation of US delegates, Latin American and European countries, as well as the presence of relevant biotechnology markets, such as Japan, Israel and Canada. The event aims to take place biannually on odd-numbered years, with the objective of being the leader in Latin America within the biotechnology sector and the promotion of business development among biotechnology companies and companies from user and associated sectors (pharma, health products, food, veterinary products, energy, among others) from all over the world, with particular interests in Latin American countries.
