I am a former CTO at a billion-dollar FTSE 250 multinational manufacturer of advanced materials, with a 30 year track record in successfully delivering business growth through new technologies all over the world. I am a leading expert on advanced ceramics, carbon/graphite and refractory materials and have led the development and commercialisation of $100m’s of new products. I have developed and delivered advanced material solutions into automotive, aerospace, petrochemical, metals, fire protection, semiconductor, medical devices and many more markets across the world.

I am the founder of TTIP, the global innovation consulting, training and networking group, and author of the books ‘Transforming Technology into Profit’ and ‘Cracking the Innovation Code’. I now help science and technology based businesses drive growth by unlocking the innovation capabilities hidden within their organisations.

During my career, I have led technology, new business development, operations, and have many years of P&L responsibility. I have sat on the board of multiple international companies and have launched several new businesses across Asia, built a number of new manufacturing facilities in China, turned round struggling operations in the US and relocated and re-engineered many manufacturing lines across the world.

I am a regular keynote speaker at conferences, events and business schools on the subjects of ‘How to Unlock Innovation in Business’ and ‘Doing Business in China’.
