I have over 30 year of R&D and business development experience in various positions in industry and research institutes, with expertise in optics, sensors (especially optical), electronics, signal processing, mechatronics, robotics and production automation. My main focus currently is development of novel automated manufacturing solutions for point-of-care and medical device applications. I have excellent skills to transfer application requirements to technical specifications, analyse problems and ability to find innovative solutions for demanding multidisciplinary problems and apply latest technologies to develop new solutions for novel commercial applications, and even finally to sell the solution to customer. I love to develop new products and bring them in to market and I like to do it in international collaborations, from which I have long experience of running large international projects (both industrial contracts and pre-competitive research projects, e.g., European union research projects since beginning of 90's like FP6, FP7 and Horizon2020), and he I have very large network both in academia and in industry. I'm a team builder and mentor with good understanding of new technology maturity level, new skills and R&D methods requirements, and understanding of ISO13485, ISO9001 and GAMP 5 requirements.
