Tobias Lipp

I am Tobias, and specialized in intellectual property (IP) and innovation management. Over the years, I have developed and implemented IP strategies for various tech companies and startups across different technology sectors. I have a particular passion for creating and safeguarding intellectual property (IP), and I am leading workshops on invention harvesting and IP design, focusing on areas like medTech, artificial intelligence, and sustainability, among others.

As an inventor myself, I bring a wealth of knowledge to the table when it comes to designing technologies that can be protected by IP assets. In 2016, I founded an innovation and technology transfer department, where I created IP and innovation support services tailored to the needs of research institutions and companies. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the unique requirements of different organizations, allowing me to craft effective strategies to address them.

In 2018, I launched Lipp+Tech (www.lipp.tech), a consultancy specializing in multidimensional IP and business analysis. At Lipp+Tech, we offer interdisciplinary advice to companies and startups helping them maximize the value of their intellectual property and drive innovation in their respective technology fields.

In 2023, I co-founded valuia® (www.valuia.com), a consulting firm collaborating with accelerators and incubators to empower and educate their startup community on leveraging Intangible Assets (IA) and Intellectual Property (IP) through comprehensive IP management advisory and educational programmes.

In addition to my consultancy work, I am also a partner of QIMP (Quality Initiative for IP Management) and serve as a reader in the certification courses of the European Patent Office (EPO) and the Centre d'Etudes Internationales de la Propriété Intellectuelle (CEIPI). These roles allow me to share my expertise and knowledge with fellow professionals in the IP field, contributing to the advancement of IP management practices.
