Civil Engineer
Marco Antonio Portugal is a doctoral student in Operations Management and Sustainability, holds a master's degree in Innovation, and a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the FEI University Center. He is a professional journalist (registered under number 0089833/SP) and has executive training, including an MBA in Project Management, an Executive MBA in Business Management, and an MBA in Business Administration. He developed a solid executive career in the civil construction sector, holding strategic positions in one of the ten largest companies in the segment in Brazil, acting in leadership roles focused on corporate governance, operational efficiency, and organizational innovation. He worked as a multi-area manager, with responsibilities in Costs and Control, Internal Audit, Asset Control, Shared Services Center (SSC), and Documentation Center (CEDOC), in addition to leading the administrative area of a portfolio of more than forty projects distributed nationally and directing the Information Technology management, encompassing infrastructure and systems. He was responsible for the conception and implementation of strategic development projects aimed at cost reduction, performance improvement, and transparency of results, including the implementation of structured performance monitoring methodologies in construction projects, directed at both operations and boards of directors. His academic and professional work focuses on sustainability, public infrastructure policies, innovation, performance evaluation, governance, and public-private partnerships, topics on which he maintains technical and scientific output.
