As founder, I am involved in all activities across the business, including:
- Engaging with end-users of ice binding proteins to understand market needs.
- Actively review IP landscape and engage with patent specialists to capitalise on patentable areas.
- Conduct market research to assess demand and potential applications for ice binding proteins
- Develop strategic plans for market entry and product development.
- Work with CROs to scale up protein expression from bench top to kilo scale.
- Engage with funders, exploring opportunities to support growth and development.

BDC is an open-access R&D centre bridging the gap between academia and industry. As a non-profit organisation, we specialise in helping businesses adopt sustainable processes and products through scale-up and development support.
-Experienced project manager with proven ability to effectively define project scope, create detailed project plans, manage financial resources, and lead cross-functional teams. I have a successful track record creating new products and processes that drive business growth and success.
-Seek out and engage with key stakeholders in industry and academia to establish and maintain a robust network of contacts. I am able to identify and pursue opportunities for collaboration, and effectively promote the research areas and capabilities of the BDC on a global scale.
-I conduct comprehensive scientific literature reviews to generate technical reports on a diverse array of topics.
-Experience using a diverse array of pilot-scale systems to perform a wide range of chemical reactions, including polymer synthesis, various wet chemistry processes, distillation, and biomass pre-treatment. Successfully designed and executed experiments to generate data that drives product and process development.
-Expertise in downstream processing, adept at recovering, isolating, and purifying high-value chemicals from product/co-product streams.
