A NEW SENSORY PLATFORM FOR FACIAL TISSUE
Aura™ is a patent-pending fragranced facial-tissue concept designed to create a differentiated sensory experience through controlled fragrance delivery and a package experience that can help consumers identify or sample a scent before opening the sealed tissue package.
THE OPPORTUNITY
• Turn a high-frequency household necessity into a premium sensory product.
• Create simple scent choice at shelf.
• Support multiple scent families, seasonal editions and premium tiers.
• Leverage existing tissue manufacturing, distribution and retail infrastructure.
THE TECHNOLOGY — HIGH LEVEL
Aura contemplates a cellulose-based tissue substrate, fragrance composition, fragrance-retention/carrier system, attachment/deposition approach and controlled release profile. Development concepts include release influenced by airflow, warmth, moisture, movement or mechanical manipulation.
THE PACKAGE EXPERIENCE
A differentiated package can provide scent identification and, in selected embodiments, sampling without opening the sealed tissue compartment, subject to final engineering and validation.
INITIAL CONCEPT DIRECTIONS
Lavender • Eucalyptus • Additional scent families
IP- A U.S. provisional patent application is identified in the project materials as filed August 27, 2026. The intended utility-patent focus is the technical architecture, including controlled fragrance delivery, carrier/tissue association, release conditions and package sampling architecture.
