Zied Souguir

Zied Souguir, PhD in Polymer Chemistry, has 23 years of R&D and industrialization experience in biomaterials. He is the inventor and architect of the 3D hyaluronic acid scaffold technology (BIOMIMESYS®) and former Senior Researcher & CIO at HCS Pharma, with 53 publications and over 700 citations in the field. He holds 7 patents filed in biomaterials and cell culture technologies. As Co-founder & CEO of OctoCells, he now leads the development of CellSpace HA™, a 3D hyaluronic acid matrix for high-yield bioproduction, alongside OctoSim™, an AI-powered digital twin for cell culture, developed in partnership with Dassault Systèmes. His work focuses on solving the scalability and yield limitations of standard 2D cell culture for antibody, extracellular vesicle, and viral vector production.
