The Institute is made up of the Servicio Madrileño de Salud (SERMAS), through the Gregorio Marañón University Hospital, which represents the basic nucleus of the Institute, and groups from the Primary Care area of the Hospital's area of influence, by the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), the Carlos III University of Madrid (UCIII MADRID), the Foundation for biomedical research of the Hospital Gregorio Marañón (FIBHGM) and the General Directorate of Research, Training and Health Infrastructures of the Ministry of Health of the Community of Madrid.
