Fund for financing science and innovation support (hereinafter - the Fund), is a government organization engaged in financing innovative development in all sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan.
The Fund cooperates with several countries in the framework of scientific and technical international grants. In the portfolio of the Fund, there are more than 5 joint and more than 40 local startup projects.

The Fund cooperates with several countries in the framework of scientific and technical international grants. In the portfolio of the Fund, there are more than 5 joint and more than 40 local startup projects.

Furthermore, over last three years the Fund has signed with more than 50 universities all over the world for internships of young scientists and already gave an opportunity for 231 young scientists to have an internship abroad.

Additionally, the Fund has bought more than 100 types of laboratory equipment for over 9 million dollars for supporting innovative projects in Uzbekistan.

Currently, the Fund is aiming to spearhead joint projects with developed countries and support scientific and technical projects by providing competitive grants.

Some of the important functions of the Fund include:
• Financing the creation and implementation of innovation on a competitive basis;
• Financing of measures for equipping (additional equipment) of scientific laboratories with modern high-tech equipment, as well as providing the necessary consumables and components;
• Financing of research, innovative-development and start-up projects on a competitive basis;
• Financing scientific internships for young scientists in leading foreign scientific organizations (centers, universities and others);
• Financing of expenses for the creation of scientific and innovative accelerators and business incubators, advanced training of gifted youth in leading international research centers, universities, techno parks and industrial organizations of developed countries, conducting scientific and practical events (symposia, conferences, seminars, trainings, round tables, master classes and etc.).
