THE OPEN INNOVATION PLATFORM INNOGET.COM AND THE COMPANY CEELAM COOPERATE FOR THE PROMOTION OF OPEN INNOVATION IN LATIN AMERICA

BARCELONA.- 1th February 2010. Innoget (www.innoget.com) and Ceelam (www.ceelam.es) have reach a cooperation agreement in order to facilitate the relationship between technology demanders and suppliers. This agreement introduces Innoget in Latin America and allows connecting the Latin American universities with European companies. On the other hand, Ceelam provides the tools required to develop those projects originated within Innoget marketplace.

David Ràfols, INNOGET’s CEO says: “this agreement is a step forward in our strategy to increase the presence of Innoget in the global market. Due to the historical and cultural links between Spain and Latin America we consider that the cooperation possibilities between technology suppliers and demanders are very high. Brazil, Chile and Argentina, among others, are countries of our interest and our presence there is viable through Ceelam.

According to Juan D. Rodriguez Briso, CEO of Ceelam “the cooperation will allow European companies to discover the research potential of Latin America and to open new collaboration and development opportunities to Latin American universities and research organizations”.

Innoget is an Open Innovation website where the scientific community interact with R&D departments at international companies, offering solutions to technological demands and posting innovative ideas, patents and products. Besides, companies are able to get innovative ideas, patents, products and technologies and post their innovative patents, technologies and products in order to establish cooperation agreements or commercial relationships with other organizations. Companies from areas such as biotechnology, chemistry, pharmacy, food Industry, electronics, communication and software, among others, are already in the platform. Registration in the platform is free.

Ceelam offers an external R&D service based on scouting of R&D projects in Latin America which implies at least the same benefits given by a traditional R&D department. Ceelam examines the most prestigious Latin America academic organizations related to the research areas requested by the customers and develop interactive data bases which are essential when looking for organizations specialized in the research of those areas. Ceelam coordinates cooperation projects between companies and Latin American universities, leading and controlling those projects. This model of external research is an innovative concept which gives alternative solutions to the traditional R&D model which implies high costs and complex labour structures. This new innovation concept is the strategic advantage that companies need today in a world where  organizational and technological changes grow exponentially.
