Seeking to Reduce Contamination in Production Lines (Converting Machines) |
| |
We are seeking to reduce contamination in our production lines (converting machines). The specific machines use diverse web materials (mainly non-woven based) to produce our products. The materials come to our machines in a planetary roll form. Those rolls would be unwound and conveyed through the converting processes (combining, cutting…) to form final products. Within this process, the web materials release different sources of contamination (e.g. dust &/or fibers) causing accumulation of contamination in all places of the machine where it can settle. With the late changes of materials, we have seen a substantial increase in contamination. As a result, we need to move cleaning times from 8 hour intervals (10 minute cleaning with 2 operators) to less than 6 hour intervals (>15min cleaning with 4 people). In order to maintain operability standards and productivity, we are seeking methods to return to 8 hour cleaning intervals. |
Seeking safe and effective outdoor mosquito solutions |
| |
Seeking safe and effective outdoor mosquito solutions to help consumers enjoy their yard and outdoor spaces without the annoyance and inconvenience of mosquito bites. Mosquitos are a common nuisance and disease spreading insect. In addition to being vectors of disease, one of the main reasons we want to tackle this pest is to allow people to enjoy outdoor activities more frequently – e.g., eating outside, spending time with family, and watching outdoor sporting events. Here in P&G Ventures, we are looking for existing, in market solutions which exist globally that are specifically designed to kill or repel mosquitos. |
Seeking existing market solutions targeted towards crawling insects |
| |
The issue of crawling insects in homes has been an ongoing issue. The popular types of crawling insects causing problems have been ants and cockroaches. The search will focus on existing market solutions targeted towards crawling insects such as ants and cockroaches (other types of crawling insects are in scope i.e., bed bugs). |
Device to determine the food shelf-life |
| |
The Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) has designed a device to test the food oxidation, which applies real conditions of storage and transport combining light, temperature and dimensions of the device. This device allows determining the oxidative stability of the samples within a period of not more than one month, applying mild temperatures far below than the high temperatures commonly applied in Rancimat. Food enterprises interested in the utility model are searched to develop and market the compartment. |
Fermentation devices for Microbial Activators production and Biochar kilns to obtain added-value products from biomass valorisation. |
| |
Rézomes, a young innovative company founded in 2018, offers its expertise in organic farming techniques, equipment & materials : 1. Stainless steel fermentation devices designed to produce microbial activators to be used: To enhance soil quality and structure. To enhance crop protection against biotic or abiotic stresses. To convert organic and animal waste into high quality bio-fertilizers. To improve health conditions on livestock farms. 2. The same stainless steel fermentation devices can be used to produce fermented extracts of plants, as well as macerations, infusions, and decoctions of plants. These preparations contain active ingredients with various effects ranging from growth stimulation to protection against pests. 3 . Steel kilns designed to make biochar (charcoal of plant origin) by pyrolysis from biomass (wood, branches, crop residues...). Mostly made up of carbon, Biochar inputs bring up several advantages from an agronomic and environmental point of view: Increases soil water retention thanks to its porous structure. Increases Cation exchange capacity. Improves microbiological activity (better environment for growth). Carbon storage in a stable form. Our innovation and expertise consist in the design of equipment allowing to run these processes in a controlled way, to obtain a product of constant and reproducible quality. |
Histone Deacetylases (HDAC) Targeted Libraries. Screening compounds for epigenetic drug discovery. |
| |
The design of selective #HDACs inhibitors requires more exploration due to the multifunctional mechanistic nature of cancer and still remains a great challenge. Dedicating to this promising class of epigenetic anti-cancer drug targets, HDACs Targeted Library (https://bit.ly/3xdJLWw) were kindly prepared by Otava scientists. |
