Seeking safe and effective outdoor mosquito solutions to help consumers enjoy their yard and outdoor spaces without the annoyance and inconvenience of mosquito bites. Mosquitos are a common nuisance and disease spreading insect. In addition to being vectors of disease, one of the main reasons we want to tackle this pest is to allow people to enjoy outdoor activities more frequently – e.g., eating outside, spending time with family, and watching outdoor sporting events. Here in P&G Ventures, we are looking for existing, in market solutions which exist globally that are specifically designed to kill or repel mosquitos. |
Seeking to Reduce Contamination in Production Lines (Converting Machines) |

We are seeking to reduce contamination in our production lines (converting machines). The specific machines use diverse web materials (mainly non-woven based) to produce our products. The materials come to our machines in a planetary roll form. Those rolls would be unwound and conveyed through the converting processes (combining, cutting…) to form final products. Within this process, the web materials release different sources of contamination (e.g. dust &/or fibers) causing accumulation of contamination in all places of the machine where it can settle. With the late changes of materials, we have seen a substantial increase in contamination. As a result, we need to move cleaning times from 8 hour intervals (10 minute cleaning with 2 operators) to less than 6 hour intervals (>15min cleaning with 4 people). In order to maintain operability standards and productivity, we are seeking methods to return to 8 hour cleaning intervals. |
Seeking Glue-free and Plastic-free closure of paper packaging |

We are looking for a technology to seal paper packaging materials (paper only with no plastic coating) without using traditional glues or any other additive. For a sustainable packaging application, we're looking for a technology to seal or crimp kraft paper without using glue or plastic coating applied on the paper. Ideally, we want to seal 100% untreated paper without adding any other chemicals. Our preferred solution would be a folding of the packaging material |

The research group in Bioelectrochemistry and Biosensors of the University of Alcalá has developed a method for the construction of a universal analytical device that allows the adaptation of any ELISA format to an immunosensor format, in order to develop simple, low cost and easy to use sensors. This device is based on the sequential deposition of self-assembled monolayers of polymers and affinity elements, applicable for the detection and quantification of any analyte or target antigen in a liquid sample, which allows the development of "on-demand" immunosensors. The group looks for companies or institutions from agro-food, bio-sanitary and environmental sector, interested in reaching collaboration agreements, commercial agreements with technical assistance or patent licensing. |
GreenTap - A Method for Stimulating Production and Extraction of Metabolites in Plants |

Numerous plant-originated compounds with unique properties are widely used for diverse applications in the drugs, food, and cosmetics industries. Chemical synthesis of these compounds is not feasible due to their complexity, and harvesting said compounds from plants can be extremely challenging and inefficient. The lab of Prof. Asaph Aharoni has developed a method for simple extraction of plant metabolites, which does not damage the plant or interferes with the formation of these compounds. The system can be used to induce and extract plant metabolites as well as to identify novel plant metabolites. |
