The first technique is based on the interaction of acetic acid volatiles with a specific receptor from the bacterium Bacillus subtilis. The receptor, which is encoded within a bacterial biosensor, will activate a reporter gene in the presence of volatiles of acetic acid. Project ID : 8-2018-4662

Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas posted this:Potyvirus viral detection kitCSIC and the Universitat Politècnica de València have developed a method for the detection and quantification of all species of the viral genus Potyvirus present in plant samples. The different species of the genus Potyvirus cause losses of up to 90% of production in crops of high economic interest, such as potato, maize or sugar cane. So far, the only way to identify that the crop was being attacked by a virus of the genus Potyvirus was to make specific detections for each species of the genus. With this new system it is possible to determine if in the samples coming from a culture there is presence of one of the 148 known species of the genus Potyvirus or of some unknown variant of these species. Companies in the agro-food sector interested in incorporating this kit for viral detection are being sought. An offer for Patent Licensing
Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas posted this:Effective method for plant wound healingCSIC and the Center for Research in Agricultural Genomics have developed an effective method for plant tissue regeneration that involves the use of a bacterial cellulose-based biopolymer. The application of this material directly in plant wounds enhances the formation of new cells layers which boosts the healing processes. Industrial partners are being sought to exploit the existing know-how through a patent license agreement. An offer for Patent Licensing

The Granada University, Health and Progress Foundation, and the CSIC have developed a diagnostic molecular system for the HHT by getting a simple liquid biopsy from the patient. Industrial partners are being sought to collaborate through a patent license agreement to use this molecular diagnostic system with the possibility of informatics support.
