Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas posted this:Power Switch for high radiation EnvironmentsCSIC through the Instituto de Microelectrónica de Barcelona - Centro Nacional de Microelectrónica, has developed a novel JFET (Junction Field-Effect Transistor) which is very suitable to be used in high-radiation-level environments such as Space, high-flying aircraft, particles accelerator or radio-medical equipment. Due to its particular configuration, the device presents very high radiation hardness. Industrial partners from the electronic industry focused on radiation detection are being sought to collaborate through a patent license agreement.
Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas posted this:Biocompatible self-generating cell stimulatorCSIC through the Instituto de Microelectrónica de Barcelona - Centro Nacional de Microelectrónica, has developed a device based on nanogenerators for electrical cells stimulation without the need of electrodes or bulky devices. The device is biocompatible and, among its multiple applications, is able to actuate in medical prostheses as an enhancer of cellular growth and proliferation, which permits an early lesion recovery (such as a fracture or wound). Industrial partners dedicated to the development of medical devices for cells stimulation, in particular, focused onto therapeutic treatments of non-healing wounds, are being sought to collaborate through a patent license agreement.

These codes (one unique code for each LED lamp) will be decoded by light detectors included in smart-devices, or by detectors designed particularly for this purpose. From the code information, the device positioning can be determined with high precision.

Giving intelligence to these services means having an extensive network of sensors and the management of information supported by the Internet of things (IoT). Wireless sensor networks present two major challenges: efficient communication and energy autonomy. Event-based sensing techniques help to optimize both by analyzing the information registered in the sensor and making it available to the network only when necessary. In the GEINTRA group, we have experience in event-based sensing techniques and their application to the field of Smart Cities.

Institut Català d'Investigació Química (ICIQ) posted this:Photoinitiators for visible-light induced living polymerizationA new class of photoinitiators of living polymerization induced by visible light has been developed and is made available for testing (under MTA) and/or licensing. The developed initiators trigger the curing of resins by irradiation with low-intensity visible light, while providing polymers with good control of chain length. In addition, through decomposition of the initator, the cured material presents a different colour than the uncured resin.

Center for Technology Transfer and Commercialization of Novosibirsk State University posted this:New class of computing devices with memory based on graphene nanocompositesModels of mem-capacitors - computing devices with memory based on graphene nanocomposites are developed in the laboratory of the university (Russia). This class of devices has an architecture with significantly greater speed and lower power consumption compared to traditional ones. It allows avoiding the memory-processor bandwidth problem of the device. The laboratory is looking for partners for technical cooperation, licensing or commercial agreements with technical assistance.

It is used in the Internet of things, blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, key exchange, for example, in instant messengers, or as an independent mean of protection. The cryptosystem is resistant to hacking, including a quantum computer through the use of NP-hard in a quantum sense problem. The university is looking for partners for furtherance on the Russian and international markets.
Center for Technology Transfer and Commercialization of Novosibirsk State University posted this:Resistant to hacking by a quantum computer electronic digital signatureResearchers of Novosibirsk State University have developed a revolutionary algorithm for quantum-stable digital signature based on results of fundamental research in mathematics. Moreover, they implemented the algorithm as a software prototype. The cryptographic stability of the digital signature guarantees information security when using it in e-economics, the Internet of things and other areas in the post-quantum era. The stability of the algorithm is ensured by solving the problem that is an NP-hard (non-polinomial intractable) in the quantum sense. The university is looking for partners to commercialize the technology in international markets.

The system allows to remove heat flow of 300 W/cm2 and more with a relatively low power consumption. It is a compact and almost silent system. The authors are looking for partners to integrate their technology into data centers and mining farms.
