Our mission is to help architects and structural designers make their buildings acoustically better. We also help building material manufacturers to develop or improve acoustical performance in their products. We offer consulting services in the field of acoustics from the design phase until final building or product testing.

The system uses standard mounting clamps without previous specific machining operations (as may be welding or drilling).
University of Vigo posted this:Removable and reconfigurable system for corner connection of square tube profilesThis removable connection system can be adapted to the size of the section, by adjusting the length of the connecting bolts, using the same flanges. Is usable for a wide range of standard profiles, which avoids the need for a flange size for each profile section.
University of Vigo posted this:Removable system for continuous connection of square tube profilesThe removable system allows mounting on each profile separately, joining then in continuity with plates at the head of each of the flanges. The use of anti-buckling clamps prevents local buckling of the walls of the profiles, associated with tightening of flanges. Flanges have nerves to reduce stresses. The same flanges are valid for connecting different sized sections of square tube profiles.

The invention is characterized by being reusable, easy to place in any type of work and it can be handled by a single operator. Moreover, it is a simple, inexpensive system to manufacture and its use implies a considerable reduction in time and execution costs on site. The research group is looking for companies interested in commercial exploitation.

The process removes the polymer matrix, recovering glass fiber which can be reused. The process is not aggressive with fiberglass. It takes place at room temperature and is able to recover all the fiberglass used. The method is industrially scalable and can be automated. Fiberglass composites and resin are widely used in the construction of boat hulls, tanks, wind turbine blades and many other applications. This method is a very important innovation for the sector and there was no effective method that allowed recovering and reusing these materials.

This mixture is applicable to interior and exterior walls in new constructions and rehabilitations or to restore the built heritage. The group seeks manufacturers of conglomerates materials and construction companies specialized in rehabilitation to reach licensing agreements, collaboration and commercial agreements with technical assistance.
Universidad de Alcalá-OTRI posted this:New organo-metallic catalysts for the manufacture of polymersA research group from the Inorganic Chemistry Department of Alcalá University has developed a technology that presents a range of catalysts based on coordination complexes and organometallic, active in functionalization processes (expoditation, hydrosilylation) and polymerization of different organic substrates (olefins and cyclic esters). They are metal complexes belonging to the first transition groups (groups 4-6) and elements from the main groups (groups 1,2 and 13). Its application is aimed at the synthesis of materials with new properties (silicon polymers, biodegradable plastics, polyesters) and the production of small molecules with high added value, used as starting products in many industrial processes (epoxides, silanes). The group is looking for manufacturing agreements and joint venture agreements with companies from the agrofood industry, construction and petrochemicals.

The images are captured with digital, thermal imagers, with the use of drones and robots to enter to areas with difficult access and from them, the processing that facilitates the diagnosis is carried out with a software. This tool is useful for conservation and maintenance companies of buildings, real estate corporations, insurance companies or certification to achieve collaboration and commercial agreements with technical assistance.

The invention, that’s been arising interest in the business sector, locally and nationally, aims at the production of habitable modules using the soil in inhospitable locations, and it was specifically thought for Mars. The advantages of this process are the total automation, and it distinguishes itself from other solutions proposed until now for providing a closed construction, airtight, with total habitability, safe against cosmic radiation with other devices, and the possibility of holding distinctive functions. He University is looking for partners that may be interested in financing the development of this tool.

The invention respects to a product with excellent energy absorption capacity to impact and sound damping for vehicle applications, houses, machinery, equipment and devices with superior performance.
Universidad de Alicante posted this:Machine-to-Cloud Management System of Distributed Heterogeneous DevicesThe Specialized Processors Architecture Laboratory (SPA-Lab group) research group from University of Alicante has developed a system which improves remote control systems processes of different kind of devices geographically spread, through the Cloud. This suggested system provides independence between application layer and remote-controlled devices. Its main advantage is the homogeneity of mechanisms and functions for their interaction with the devices no matter their nature and the scope of the application. The supplied technology may be used in sectors needing monitoring and controlling a wide range of devices. The research team supplies the companies both the “know-how” for the necessary adaptation and implementation of the system and the possibility of licensing this technology.
