The group seeks for licensing agreements, technical cooperation agreements, manufacturing agreements and commercial agreements with technical assistance with companies that perform maintenance and commercialization of precision kinemometers and companies that produce intelligent systems of transport.
DIT Hothouse posted this:New Anti-Counterfeit Technology - Pressure Sensitive HologramsDublin Institute of Technology (DIT) researchers have invented a unique, patented hologram that changes colour under pressure and has widespread applications for security, authentication and environmental sensing. Holograms are frequently used for security and authentication, and are commonly found on credit cards, bank notes, passports and concert tickets, as well as on a number of high value goods such as pharmaceutical drugs, clothing and accessories. They can also be used as sensors if the hologram is sensitive to changes in its environment, and for tamper detection for document security. Current holographic solutions are usually mass produced from a single master hologram, resulting in identical holograms, with serialisation applied via standard overprinting, allowing the holograms to be either tampered or copied. The pressure-sensitive optical device developed at DIT allows the production of true individual holograms. Specific customer codes can be embedded into the actual hologram during manufacture, making them extremely difficult to copy but very easy for the end user authentication through a pressure-induced colour change of the hologram. The colour change can be either temporary or permanent, depending on specific requirements. This optical device can be a purely visual feature to be used for authentication by the end customer/consumer using thumb pressure, or it can also be designed to be machine readable for automated checking within the supply chain.
Universidad de Alicante posted this:System for fixing armours during concretingThe research group “Materials and Construction Systems for Buildings”, from the Building and Urbanism Department of the University of Alicante, has developed a new and simple system that allows to fix any type of armours in concrete construction elements during the concreting process. This system avoids the movement of the armours in an efficient, technical and reusable way, and, therefore, also avoids future expensive treatments in case of unwanted movements. This new system is characterized by its low cost, light weight, ease of use and versatility for any constructive element. The research group is looking for companies interested in commercial exploitation.

The online course is entitled: "Get Started in Translation and Interpreting in Public Services". The main objective of this course is to work on issues related to the communication process between foreign users who are not familiar with the Spanish language and the public or private institutions that provide services to society. The course is also focused on describing and practicing the functions of the translators and interpreters who work in these areas and showing how to get to work within this booming sector. The research groups FITISPos and FITISPos -ELearning seek to reach commercial agreements with technical assistance or technical cooperation agreements with public services and public institutions (courts, police stations, hospitals, schools, town halls, etc.) or private institutions (NGOs, associations of entrepreneurs with international interests or foreign employees, banks, tourist offices, etc.).
