This removable connection system can be adapted to the size of the section, by adjusting the length of the connecting bolts, using the same flanges. Is usable for a wide range of standard profiles, which avoids the need for a flange size for each profile section.
Description of the technology
This invention consists on a system for connecting profiles of square tube, in which the head of one profile is attached to the lateral of another continuous profile, forming a right angle connection. This system allows fully detachable connections in metal structures, and in which the elements used (profiles and flanges) are fully reusable when they are disassembled, without any previous operation over the profiles, as may be drilling or welding of base plates.
Specifications
Each connection comprises two groups of four flanges with ribs. There are two types of flanges: with and without gusset plates respectively. Each flange is bolted with at least another two pieces, allowing to perform the tightening simultaneously on all four sides of each profile.
