Desired outcome

Nano-coatings or films for Solar Panels (Commercial) is the broad requirement. Solar panels gather dust, soil, bird droppings, fog, moisture and other matter resulting in layer formation that needs periodic cleaning in order to maintain the performance of the solar panels. The nano-coating should be a custom composition that does not interfere with the solar panel performance and be able to resist dust collection, which eventually reduces number of cleaning cycles. The composition of the nano-coating should also be devoid of any chemicals that may be harmful environmentally or pose any health issues.

Details of the Innovation Need

Desired Outcome of the Solution: The nano-coating material should be resistant to dust / soil / moisture collection and be able to reduce the cleaning cycles and more importantly not harm the efficiency of the solar panels.

Mode Technology Transfer Acceptable:The product need to have proven capability at commercial scale. The first step would have to be demonstration of the product performance, so the holder of the technology/product be able to furnish sample for evaluating the effectiveness. If reasonably satisfactory, the options could be a license to make it or technology transfer.

Field of Use and Intended Application: The nano-coating should be specifically designed for commercial solar panels .

The nano-coating need to be environmentally safe, non-toxic and cost effective.
