Join us in Cambridge for the Future of Open Innovation Practices Day, on February 13th 2019.

This full day of interactive workshops and talks will showcase tangible mechanisms for facilitating stakeholder interaction to ensure science’s impact on society and the markets.

Expect valuable insights from both Academia and Industry, with keynote speeches from Dr John C Taylor, Professor of Innovation at the University of Cambridge and Head of the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM), Dr. Tim Minshall, and RICARDO's Chief Technology and Innovation Officer, Neville Jackson.

The event is the culmination of EC funded project Science2Society, researching the future of interaction between universities, industries and broader society as a whole. Science2Society is one of very few projects that explore the future of innovation ecosystem interaction mechanisms, particularly borrowing best practices from Internet 2.0 and 3.0 platforms and communities.

The consortium is excited to share their key findings and recommendations with attendees, to support the ongoing innovation learning process.

EU lags behind in breakthrough, market-creating innovation Low involvement of civil society but improving from FP7: room for improvement in bringing research closer to the general public” Two key findings that your project may change – that the evaluators will be looking for and find positive - if the Impact is well-defined. Several calls for proposals are now open with deadlines in spring/summer, and many forthcoming topics and draft 2018-2020 Work Programmes are in the pipeline. Bring your project ideas and calls to the training, we will discuss your concept with you and you may even find your excellent future partners with our help, maybe amongst the training participants.
