Join us in Cambridge for the Future of Open Innovation Practices Day, on February 13th 2019.

This full day of interactive workshops and talks will showcase tangible mechanisms for facilitating stakeholder interaction to ensure science’s impact on society and the markets.

Expect valuable insights from both Academia and Industry, with keynote speeches from Dr John C Taylor, Professor of Innovation at the University of Cambridge and Head of the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM), Dr. Tim Minshall, and RICARDO's Chief Technology and Innovation Officer, Neville Jackson.

The event is the culmination of EC funded project Science2Society, researching the future of interaction between universities, industries and broader society as a whole. Science2Society is one of very few projects that explore the future of innovation ecosystem interaction mechanisms, particularly borrowing best practices from Internet 2.0 and 3.0 platforms and communities.

The consortium is excited to share their key findings and recommendations with attendees, to support the ongoing innovation learning process.

Join the upcoming ISPIM Connects Ottawa: Innovation for Local and Global Impact held by ISPIM in Ottawa, Canada.

ISPIM is running a challenge-based innovation conference we are running in Ottawa in April.

Why challenge-based?
Well, we feel that this way we can better engage people whilst also delivering a conference that will provide the host city with greater impact. Working closely with our local partners in Ottawa, we have selected three critical challenges that are also of global importance: - Scaling Startups - Adopting AI and Analytics - Innovating with Government

We will be discussing what role innovation can play in solving these challenges and have a series of keynote presentations, discussion panels, workshops and site visits all aimed to address these challenges as well as other innovation management hot-topics.

The conference also includes some great networking social events. Headline speakers include Sir Terry Matthews (Wesley Clover International), Roseann O’Reilly Runte (Canada Foundation for Innovation) and John Shannon (National Research Council Canada)

Why attend?
For Academia - get exposed to a much broader range of practices and attitudes - experience a unique combination of academic rigour and practical relevance - meet colleagues from academia and reflect with and learn from great practice leaders from industry - open up new opportunities for research collaborations for Industry - keep up to date with the latest trends in innovation management - make connections, share your failures, get inspiration to innovate - bring ideas back that you can use in practice - discover an exceptional range of knowledge, experience, competences and opportunities to jointly drive innovation management

**Mine.Your.Our success in innovation** Open Innovation is one of the major trends in the innovation sector. The openness of companies for knowledge and creativity from outside of the company – from customers, partners, scientists, the staff or even the “crowd” – is one of the main factors of successful and effective innovation in the 21st century. A lot of global players integrated Open Innovation in their innovation process already. Especially for the medium-sized enterprises there is a huge necessity to gain more knowledge on how to integrate Open Innovation in their structures.

The main focus of the “Open Innovation Congress Baden-Württemberg 2018 - Mine.Your. Our Success In Innovation”, will be on political strategies to support Open Innovation, best practices, the role of new tools like makerspaces or pop-up laboratories and new chances by technical development. A field of tension between trust and intellectual property will play a substantial role in the Open Innovation processes. Economic minister Dr. Hoffmeister-Kraut MdL will give the opening speech, followed by Robert-Jan Smits, the director-general the EU-Commission. Look forward to experience reports by the region Noord-Braband, who has a strong connection to Baden-Württemberg via the Vanguard Initiative. Dr. Ingmar Hoerr, CEO of the CureVac AG, will take a closer look at open innovation from a Unicorn’s point of view.

The audience will be able to participate actively in the congress and experience Open Innovation live. Be part of the Open Innovation Congress 2018 and register now. The congress will be in German language.
